Here's some press that Hereafter has received from local publications.

"Although Hereafter crank out rock-hard slabs of rage with the precision of bands twice their age, they've also got the good sense to come up for air once in a while - with a funky, lighter groove to keep the heaviness in check."

--Greg Berg, The Riverfront Times

"Hereafter, a talented, rockin' quartet, has a sound much bigger than their young ages."

--Midwest Music Review

"Young punksters with promise and confidence"

Aaron Lanterman, Night Times

"St. Charles County teens Hereafter have two things most young bands don't - a healthy dose of bravado to go along with the chops."

Thomas Crone, The Riverfront Times

"The hardest-working high school sophomores in St. Charles."

Denise Santangelo, Get Out

"Hereafter, a punk quartet from St. Charles, has produced a six-song demo tape that shows mature pacing, sophisticated hooks and subtle chord shifts..."

Paul Hampel, Get Out

"Pretty impressive stuff for a band whose eldest member is 16 years old. The tune "Shadow displays good use of dynamics, while "Threshold" chugs along like a XXXXed-off freight train."

-Steve on Wheels, University Reporter

"Local Time"

Hereafter, one of out city's finest up-and-coming practitioners of angst-ridden, harder edge rock, have just finished their full-lenght LP. The 11-song Somebody Screwed Up will officially be released on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Kennedy's on the Landing, with fellow teenage punk outfits Poe's Music and Spilway opening the all-ages show. The tape includes three songs recorded with Randy Cash of the Dark Horses last winter, along with seven new cuts and a live track recorded at CD Reunion in St. Charles. Although Hereafter crank out rock-hard slabs of rage with the precision of bands twice their age, they've also got the good sense to come up for air once in a while - with a funky, lighter groove to keep the heaviness in check. And although most of their press focuses on the fact that the band members are years away from a legal drink, you'd never know it if you hadn't read the bio. As a testament to the material's quality, they've recently been getting airplay on Les Aaron's "New Music Sunday" (on The Point), along with spins on KDHX and KCLC. They've also opened up for Fragile Porcelain Mice at Mississippi Nights and were one of the more than 220 bands from around the Midwest chosen to appear at the upcoming MRMF. Somebody Screwed Up will be available soon at CD Reunion and Sound Revolution.
