Well it's been quite a while since I added anything here. But I got some good news! I composed a trio for a group at Kent State. I haven't posted the song here yet, but I plan to soon. The intruments involved make a rather strange combo: flute, bassoon, and euphonium. I'm supposed to get a tape from them soon when they eventually perform the piece around April. Can't wait...

I sold my first song! Not the song itself of course, but the rights for someone to use it. "The Clown" will appear in a french encyclopedia in DVD format. I'm supposed to get some copies of it in the mail when it's done. Apparently my song appears in the kids section of the encyclopedia.

It's official! I'm in the May issue of Electronic Musician and the May/June issue of Music and Computers! Just go to the ad index and look up Seer Systems. I also almost have a new GMIDI piece done. Mainly dedicated to Diana, who's .mp3 challenged and therefore couldn't hear my newest pieces. But that shouldn't be a problem now since I got my cd burner working. I'll be sending some CDs out to friends once I finish the song.

Well, recently finished a new piece called "Deeper Still". This one was also made with Reality. It's an electronic/symphonic song... very dark sounding movie-type music. Anyone interested in hearing it can just give me an email, since I haven't yet sent it in to Music Global Network yet.

Also, if all goes as planned, I will soon be featured in a magazine ad for Reality that will start appearing in Electronic Musician and Keyboard in June. Pretty cool eh?! Be sure to check that out!

And thanks to Diana, a midi-head friend of mine, I'm now appearing on Original's @ Laura's MIDI Heaven. If you haven't checked that site out yet, be sure to do so. There's quite a few good composers there.

Those of you who don't own Reality can now download my new song from Music Global Network in .mp3 format!

I haven't posted new pieces in a while because they aren't in GMIDI format. I'm making them with a powerfull software synth called Reality, made by Seer Systems. If you're interested in hearing them email me and I can send you a .mp3 (I'd post them here if I could but I only have 3MB here). Reality v1.1, which will be coming out this year, will include a streaming audio format called SeerMusic that should solve this problem.

Or, if you happen to own Reality, you can download a .zip file with the bankset and midi from the Reality User's Forum.
If you're a pro musician or just a hobbyist and haven't heard of Reality, I strongly suggest you visit their site.
