SADNESS sadness creeps in like an unwanted storm the clouds come in blot out the sun blot out the sky blot out the mind all emotions are gone all thinking is blurred sadness is one in itself the only emotion you can feel without feeling many others the simplest of all emotions maybe the purest there is a comfort in being sad the comfort of isolation being able to feel sad and only feel sad nothing else the rain pours down as the tears do salty to the taste sadness is thought to be blue but really sadness has its own hew as the color of rain is thought of blue it really is not nor is sadness and the tears that come with it to assign one color to sadness is a mistake it is white it is gray it is blue it is black it is every dark feeling color mixed into one after the rain look for a puddle on the ground watch the recently fallen rain mix with the mud mix with the dirt mix with the grime and look at the color of the puddle the closest you can come to the hew of sadness unlike the storm sadness never leaves it just recedes always with you like a parasite feeding off other emotions waiting patiently to return to the surface softly and silently creeping in like an unwanted storm.
