SONNET I: WOULD YOU CARE?


Would you care if I died today?
Would it touch you in any way?
Would the stars in the sky fade out
Leaving you full of dread and doubt?
Would the days seem long to you?
Not wanting life to continue through.
Longing for a quick end to it.
Life without me would not be legit.
Do you think you would feel like this?
Longing for just one more kiss.
Or would this not affect you at all
Letting me go, letting me fall
Slipping through the cracks of time
Never again to be thought of in your mind.
