THE EAGLE The eagle flies with great ease, Following the summer breeze. The eagle looks for its next kill, A northern pike or a blue gill. It drops down to the river below Searching for fish; going with the flow. The talons grip tight around the fish Soon the fish will be a hearty dish. The fish struggles to get away To be free, to swim in the bay. But the fish does not get away; It does not return to the bay. For the eagle has reached its nest, Where it gets some well deserved rest. By: Ryan Stancl
