About Our Name (Fate's Hand)
Like every band, we struggled to find a name and an identity. It was a challenging process. However, a turn of events made the name a reality. Many bands dream of having the good fortune of attracting a talented producer. Fate's Hand realized that dream with Ray Blair, an engineer who worked with such artists as Glen Frey "Eagles", Bonnie Raitt, Herbie Hancock and Natalie Cole. He worked with the band for a year with the plans of recording a CD. Ray attempted to schedule the first recording session one weekend this last February. Tragically, he suddenly passed away due to natural causes that very weekend. The hand of fate took our friend from us, but we continue on with the dream we shared with him.
