How to Play Fast: 2 Hand Tapping

This technique is definitely for the advanced guitar player. This sound is what pushed Eddie Van Halen over the edge ("Eruption"), making him sound faster than anyone before him, blowing listeners away. Basically with this technique, you are hammering on or pulling off with both your picking hand and your fretting hand. After you hammer-on with your picking hand finger and you do a pull-off, be sure to pull the string slightly sideways to keep the string vibrating and to maintain an even volume level. Once again, whenever your solos are in the same location on the fretboard, you should try to keep the same fingers over certain frets. Do these patterns on all strings.
