PLOT: A smart-mouthed young girl (Felisha Noble) wakes up in the land of her grandmother's stories, only to become a murder suspect in this parody/sequel to L. Frank Baum's "The Wizard Of Oz". A murder mystery dinner theater comedy.

HISTORY: After a successful one-off performance the previous year, MSI scheduled Felisha's "Oz" play for a six-week winter run at its most recurrent venue, Sorge's Restaurant. To prepare for the revival, Felisha and I revised the entire script, shortening and tightening by several pages.
With Joel moving to New York City in late October the previous year, Dale George (who'd acted with Jeff the previous year in the Corning Elks' "The Odd Couple") was brought in to replace him as the Cowardly Lion. Since Brittany had joined the West High cast of a new production for "Beauty and the Beast", plans were made to have her play Dorothy for only the first three of the six "Magical Murder" performances, so she could focus on "Beast" in March. However, a sports-related injury made her unable to do any "Magical Murder" shows, so Felisha was left to play Dorothy for all six performances.
