The Right Choice For 3T

The boys of 3T are so talented that Taj, Taryll and TJ Jackson might never have been musicians at all! Never mind that music is in their genes (after all, it's not just any group that can claim the legacy of Uncle Micheal, Aunt Janet and the Jackson 5!), these three are amazing when it comes to playing baseball. Lickily for us, the singing siblings of 3T aren't pursuing careers in professional baseball.

The three jacksons were all standout baseball players at Buckley High School in Los Angeles. Taryll, told BOP he even considered juggling careers in both music and atheltics. "At one point, it was hard to make that decision because I wantd to do both," Taryll says, "but it is really hard to have a music career and a baseball career because of all the travelling and all."

Fortunately for 3T fans everywhere, Taryll, Taj and their bro, TJ, chose to focus on their music careers and the move appears to have paid off. Their 1995 debut CD Brotherhood has been a hit with fans-expecially in London, where they have spent some time touring on behalf of the album.

But just because they're musicians doesn't mean that the T's have to give up their other interest completely. For instance, oldest brother Taj, hopes to merge his career with his other creative outlet: directing. He's been studying it in college and hopes to eventually direct some of 3T's music videos. He also loves working with computer graphics and he even designed the group's logo. "I do computer graphics and I do music," he says, "depending upon what I'm in the mood to do."

As long as they're in the mood to do music, that works for us!
