One Minute Interview With 3T's TJ
Despite what they may call themselves, they are Jacksons and people always remember that. So, What's it like the 3T in the biz? Find out that and more in this exclusive quickie interview with TJ of 3T.
Q: Does it bother you that people expect more out of you because of the Jackson name?
TJ: There are definitely high expectations because we do come from the family, I guess. But it doesn't bother us. Some people think we have it easier, but they don't know how the high expectations are hard on us and they think: "Ah, they signed with Michael. They just woke up one day and signed with Michael's label, recorded an album and that was it." But they don't realize we have been singing together for 12 years. Plus, our album took three years to make, which is longer than most. That was because of the high expectations.
Q: Well, your single, "Anything", went gold and most people don't get a gold single the first time out.
TJ: We're very happy about that. It went gold in six different countries, so it was a worldwide smash for 3T. We can't complain. We love performing the song, but we want our audience to know that we have more songs, too. We're not just one song and we're gone.
Q: Are you surprised by the fans response to 3T?
TJ: We worked hard and we are grateful for all the support and love we received. We feel we are just starting and we have a long way to go still. We're doing alright.
