In addition, the DVD features a running commentary from D.A. Pennebaker and tour road manager Bob Neuwirth, a never-before-seen version of the Subterranean Homesick Blues cue card scene, as well as a Dylan discography and biographies of Pennebaker and the film’s cast and crew. This Collector’s Edition DVD will be in stores on Tuesday, January 4th. DONT LOOK BACK will also be released as a Collector’s Edition VHS on the same date. In addition to the spectacular new digital transfer, the VHS includes the film’s original trailer with running commentary from Pennebaker and Neuwirth.

DONT LOOK BACK, filmed during Bob Dylan’s three-week concert tour of England in 1965, has long been considered the ultimate music documentary. D.A. Pennebaker, a pioneer of cinema vérité, who went on to film the classics Monterey Pop and The WarRoom, captured Dylan as both outspoken private citizen and consummate performer in this historical film that set the standard for rock films and documentaries in general.
