One of my favorite U2 albums, Boy is raw emotions mixed with creative music that comes from very original musical thought. I recently bought this from a guy in Texas. His sister went to Europe in the 80's and picked this up for him. I always thought it was stupid that the artwork was changed (for the U.S. release) in the first place. I guess a number of Americans associated the shirtless boy on the cover with child pornography.
Personally, I think the boy's blank stare is the essence of what the Boy album is all about: Innocence meets Reality. In case you didn't know, it's the same kid as on the cover of the War album (which wasn't changed).
