Elderly (87) Mother Quotes

When I asked my 87 year Young Mother if she wanted me to roll her in 
the
wheelchair into 
the bathroom, she said "Yes." When I asked what she was going to do in
the bathroom,
her reply was "I am not going in there to chew gum!"


One night I asked my elderly mother if she knew who I was and she said
"Yes, you are
my husband!" I went over, took a picture off the wall and asked her who
it was.
She said "It's you." I told her "No, that was your husband and my 
father,
and he died
35 years ago." She came back with "Well, I was close." I questioned her
as to why she
would say that and her reply was "He looks enough like you to be your
SON!"


When mother finished eating her evening meal, she was asked if she 
wanted
to take her
dentures out for the rest of the night. Her reply was "NO, that would
make me even 
COLDER than I already am!"


Mother told me "I want to get a tablecloth!" After asking her several
times what she needed
a tablecloth for, she told me "I want to Look like a woman." I never 
did
get her to explain to
me why a tablecloth would make her look like a woman.
