"What makes you think we have to act any differently just cos we are into a certain scene?"... We don't. No one set a fuckin rule, no one owes anyone an explanation. I just figured anyone who is in for the right reason turned to this scene because it is one place that is, at least ideally, different. Different in a way that we have heart, that we want to make a change, we're not apathetic and willing to give in as easily as so many other people our age to the media and the mall and the rest of that garbage. To just say those words, and not try to better ourselves would be just dying into highschool (although for some it's there throughout the rest of their lives) b.s. of doing what we're expected to do; always fighting in some condemned rats race where he/she with the most dough, biggest boobs, and expensive clothes wins. Hardcore and punk is where we should be able to come together, have fun, be open minded, just truly be who we are and not have to put up fronts of what we are. And I hope we're not all jerks who will shun kids and put down others and float with the latest trend.
Fuck those snobby elitist kids...the ones who say "I'm better than you because I think I am a scenegod. I like to stand on the sides and talk shit about kids up front and kids who are less scenegodlike than me, cos you know... hardcore is about making fun." They will be gone like backwards and upsidedown visors and raver pants.
A lot of kids will say " you can't unite the fucking scene, gimme a break" but it doesn't mean you or I can't try. So next time you're at a show, just talk to someone you don't already know, or would like to know better...mosh with some new kids...play road hockey or something, y'know? As Committed put it, cos we wana make a change and we wana have fun.... finish the rest of the lines...(we gotta work together to get things done!)  Peace.
