John Lennon is the most well-known of all the Beatles, and is the most-loved. He had a hard child-hood. His Father left him when he was very young, and he was sent to live with his Aunt Mimi. He hardly ever spoke to his Mum, but just when he started to spend time with her, she was killed in a car accident, outside Mimi's house, by a drunk policeman off duty. John was devestated, and it wasn't just a hard child hood he had. He married Cynthia when he was 19, and they had Julian. But he hardly ever saw them, because he was always on tour. John and Cynthia couldn't have been more different. John was a loud mouth, arrogant and cocky. Cynthia was quiet and well-mannered. It's a wonder why they married. Things weren't going to well with Cynthia. One day he went to an art gallery and met Yoko Ono. They married soon after. |

Some people say say that this is what broke up the Beatles, because Paul, George and Ringo didn't like Yoko. John and Yoko were happy together and had their son, Sean. But on ....1980,John Lennon was killed at the age of forty. Since John had such a hard life, he was always rather grumpy and was quite a 'scary' person. He was moody and short-tempered but he was also entertaining, talented, fun-loving, and a good friend. Before he died, he and Paul made up and would call each other and have friendly chats. |

John was supposed to be the 'best Beatle' and the one who had the most talent. It was because he experimented in different ways of music and wrote most of the songs. But John hated the sound of his own voice, and ruined it by singing weakly all the time. His voice had to be thickened and lengthened for the albums. he must have felt jealous of Paul, who had a great voice, but John had a good voice too. He just always brought himself down. |

The Influence of Yoko Ono. |
After the Beatles split up, John continued with solo work and with Yoko Ono. John's solo work was very talented but just before he died, his work was supposed to have gone down hill. His work was greatly influenced by Yoko Ono. He first met Yoko at her exhibition, the White Gallery. It is obvious this was the influence of the White Album. The song, Revolution Number 9 was completely different and also the work of Yoko Ono. A lot of people hate Yoko Ono, for a varoius number of reasons, but she really wasn't that bad! John loved her dearly. He changed his middle name to Ono, he named an album after her: THE PLASTIC ONO BAND. He wrote songs about her, and he may have split with her for a while, but they got back together. Together, John and Yoko did a great number of historical events. There was their Bed Peace, and hair Peace. They had an interview inside a bag- BAGISM! |
