Thanks:
(or those people
who deserve just as much credit for this story getting out as I do, because,
hey, they put up with uncertain "are you sure this okay" me.)
-Rachel: So when I asked you in July to look over the first few chapters of this story, you had no clue what you were getting in for, did you? Heh. Thanks for all of your words of encouragement over the summer and for putting up with me and my then daily emails with the newest chapter. And then my pointless little emails at 2 a.m. saying things like, "do you think one month is too early for Justin to tell Maggie he loves her?" And now you've agreed to do it all again... lol.
-'Mystery': Thanks for putting up with me and my aversion to the comma in the early chapters. I'm learning, I swear. And now, like, I'm picky about other people's writing, too. You've corrupted me forever. Hee! And thanks for all your ideas, too. You constantly kept me on my toes and kept me trying to take the story in unpredictable directions. I think I succeeded, don't you?
-Emmy: I thanked you before, but I figured you should get some official permanent thanks, so here goes. You rock, girl. I still have that 41k email and I've used it as a constant reference for the last few chapters. I was feeling so totally uncertain about the story when I emailed you that day and you totally reboosted my confidence in it. Thank you for that. You can't know how much it meant to me. And, you know, if I don't manage to snag Lance at my concert, I'll send lucky thoughts your way.
-Gabriella: Your encouragement over the last several months (has it really been that long?) has been so appreciated, I can't even tell you. You rock, girl, and I hope we'll keep chattin' for a long time.
-To everyone
who has emailed me at any point in the last 9 months. I love you all! Any
email totally makes my day, and you all have been the best! And also to
those people who haven't emailed me, but have still read. I had hoped to
maybe get 50 people (more than I'd had previously) reading the story. Never,
ever did I imagine a number over 300 consistently reading each chapter.
So, THANK YOU!
What's Next:
So, a lot of people have been asking me what's next. Up until I wrote the last word of MON I said "No More!" Unfortunately, I've discovered I sort of like the torture of long novels. So, to make a long, rambly story short, I will be writing another novella--not nearly as long as MON. At this point (June 9, 2001) I am one chapter into a new Lance story and I've got most of the rest planned out. I think it's going to be fun. Complicated, but fun.
Before you all go, "oh my god, she's writing another one... groan," a warning:
It's going to be a gen fic... meaning that there's not going to be a central romance. I'm not saying there won't be relationships, but there will be no romantic lead. I'm going to be focusing more on friendship between the guys than anything else. Also, think action and adventure and courtroom drama. And the guys are still 'N SYNC!
If you still want to stick around and read it, I'd be thrilled if you would, but I know that romance is by far the most popular thing out there. I just don't want you all waiting for a romance that's not going to happen.
I'm thinking it's going to be good, though. I haven't seen anything like it before, and we all know that I like to be original.
As for when it will be out, I like to have a lot done before I start posting (I had 26 chapters of MON done when I posted the first two on September 25, 2000) so at this point I'm going to say August. It'll be the two year commemoration of my induction into the 'N SYNC fanfiction author world. Whoosh, time flies. It could be earlier, though, and it could be later. I'll keep everyone who stays on my update list updated as to my progress and I'll post notes on my main page.
Thank you all so much!
Sarah
