This is just a pre-release copy I managed to wangle off one of the band members but as with everything I have reviewed in here so far the quality of the up and coming bands in canberra and the product they are producing these days constantly manages to suprise me. This band is no exception to that rule. This is a mixture of doomy and black metal with a lot of dynamics and variation to make sure the listener is never bored. This band consists of two guitarists, bass player, drummer, keyboardist, and a male and female singer so its all covered. The music is probably closer to "Cradle of Filth" mixed in with "The Gathering" for lack of anything else to compare it to. Everything on this recordings comes through well on the technical side. Some very tasty melodies come through in all the intstruments and the dual vocal styles really make this an interesting realease. I must say that on CD the whole band really comes though very well (as live it can be hard to get so many varied instruments and voices coming through properly but this recording really does them justice). No idea when this is coming out as they only just finished recording it but it will be worth the wait!
