This is the fourth in the series of albums that "Gorgoroth" main man (and sometimes the only man) of the project Baltak has released and I have to say its a marked improvement over previous efforts. The songwriting has improved alot and the songs have their own individual flavours as opposed to an hour long sonic blast where everything sounds the same. Fans of Destroyer666 and Abominator might appreciate this kind of stuff as it sits somewhere between black and death metal but not quite what I'd call war metal. As always this focus' in on the whole Macedonia vs. Greek thing, which I know absolutely nothing about, a concept which encompasses the whole album from lyrics to artwork so this can alienate a few people and draw in others, but due to the fact that most of the lyrics are also sung in Macedonian (I assume) it makes it harder to learn about. Baltak is very successful in the world wide underground metal scene, and consistantly sells a lot of albums especially in Europe, where these sort of feelings still run high, but this one may see him selling a few more copies in Australia as its a lot more accessible and easier to listen to than its predecessors due to superior production and songwriting values than previous releases, and one of the best album covers I've seen in recent times!
