Garagepunkband 'Caffeine Shot' ready for the next level
Door: Hans Hilberts
Hem - The last time I visited Caffeine Shot I thought they were just another new boypunkband.. I thought they were just in it for the coffee.. but apparently my observations were wrong.. yes I was wrong.. The band has grown to new heights and has just got it's first record deal. They presented to me three powerful songs.. Believe, TMF generation and caffeine shot.
Every song has some beautiful lyrics and they are not hiding there opinions. Finally somebody is standing up against the commercial television that calls itself TMF.. The name says it all The Music Factory.. it's a factory were they make new stars based on the fashion rules.
Now back to the music. there' s absolutely some progress there. First of all the band was complete. And second of all this time the singer could here his own voice. No ídols display here no more. Flipflop is giving it all.. sometimes a little too much, but that's just when his emotions are getting to him. He can suddenly roar in the mic or will spontaneously laugh in the middle of a song. That's just his way of saying I love making music. Rob is the brain of the band. He is always busy of thinking new ways to improve the songs.
Bart is the laid back member of the group. He is just one with his bass guitar and can come to beautiful solo's.. but that's only one the band is not waiting for his solo it has to come spontaneously. Spike is also giving it all, unfortunly that was the end of one of his snares..
This band is going to make it i'm sure of that now. There's only one thing that they still have to work on... They have to figure out somehow what's the verse and whats the couplet. When they know that nothing can go wrong!
