U.S. Prepares For Split Habit
Split Habit are weeks away from announcing their first month-long
national
tour (supported by Short Arm Trick). States slated to witness the
rock
exploits of Chicago's most unique pop-punk act are Illinois, Missouri,
Colorado, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas. Also on the slate
(but
as of yet unconfirmed) are Utah, Arizona, Nebraska and Louisanna.
This tour
will last from late June until early August. "We can't wait to
get on the
road," stated guitarist Frankie Cacciato. "I think our experiences
out there
this summer will go a long way toward determining if we can go on
the road
full time," Cacciato added.
Veteran drummer Chris Michaels noted "I'm looking forward to
bringing our
sound to California. They won't know what hit 'em."
Frontman Travis Brown was also eager to spread the word: "I think
it's
great to get two Chicago bands on the road together to show the rest
of the
country that there is a great scene here and we're ready to break
out."

Chicago, IL - Frankie Cacciato joins split habit
As posted on the Split Habit messageboard by
Travis, Split Habit gained a new guitarist on Saturday, Frankie Cacciato.
Formerly of Orland-based Spill, Frankie brought the voice and guitar
skills to Split Habit that Travis and Chris had been looking for.
After the departure of founding member Johnny Smoke, Drew and Simon
from Short Arm Trick filled in admirably, while Chris and Travis rocked
on. After holding many audition Frankie called and set up an audition
time with Travis. Travis was impressed with the acoustic tryout, but
Frankie still had to pass the test of jammin' electrically with Chris.
This past Friday the three got together and Chris knew they found
their man. "He hit all the harmonies and can play just as well
as John," the drummer said. "He even plays most of the same
gear that John does!" Chris added. "Make no mistake, Split
Habit is back in full effect and we are not going to be stopped!"
quipped Chris.
Split Habit will be gearing up for a major push in 2002 including,
but not limited to touring, expanded distribution, a new website and
a major radio push.
