Farce are mainly a live band and their shows are usually pretty good. Read all the show reviews here, and if you ever see Farce live, you can email me your reviews, and I'll put them up. 16th December - Flapper and Firkin, Kingston Row, Birmingham Farce, Whippasnappa and Breaker Breaker were first and played their usual 'happy core orange county except from england' sort of music. I didn't see much of Whippasnappa's set but what I did see made my toes curl, they sucked. The singer jumped into the crowd and fell to his knees screaming into the mic. Everyone laughed. Farce were last as usual, and played a short set which included a very old song called 'Saturday Morn' which some of you older Farce fans might have heard. It sounded pretty good for Rock Cafe standards but that's not saying much, the PA really sucks. Oh well, it's somewhere to hear music isn't it. 29th November - Flapper and Firkin, Kingston Row, Birmingham Farce, Glass Front and Breaker. Glass Front were on first and played what was probably their worst gig ever, which is a real shame because they seem to have talent and a great sound, like Korn and Limp Bizkit had a bastard child and called it Glass Front. Next were Breaker who sounded suspiciously like Green Day but managed to get the girls dancing with their array of catchy pop-punk songs. Then it was Farce's turn, who all looked pretty lashed when they arrived on stage. The set sounded pretty good, a mix of old songs like Never Looking Back and some brand, spanking new ones like Fifteen Forever and 'new one number one'. It was a typical Farce gig, Chris took his shirt off, Ollie danced and Ade pulled his lead out several times, but everyone went home happy, Lovely. Love it. All material © Farce 1996 - 1999.
