Girlfriends, fiancees, wives. Whatever they are known, they are the people who captured the heart of our boys and ended up being with them. They are the Backstreet girls, and they are pretty lucky or blessed to have a Backstreet Boy in love with them.
Face it, many of us wanted to date our boys, fall in love, get married to them. Truth known, it's just part of our wild imagination and make believe. The chances are, no matter how much you insisted that it's fate or destiny (You are so cracked), very slim. One in a million. Like winning the lottery ticket or maybe a million dollars. While most caught them in concerts, got their autographs, many had never experienced going to their shows, or seeing them face to face.
It's nothing wrong to dream that you and your Backstreet guy might be together one day and you'll marry him and live happily ever after. But it is wrong when you start to take it seriously and burst into a tantrum or tears when the news of their marriage or engagement are announced.
They are humans, just like you and me. They cry, laugh, got blues, have girlfriends. Impossible as it may seem to some of you, they do date. If they say they don't, they're lying to cover their girlfriends' identities. I can understand it, suddenly having the media around you is frightening. No, I never experience it. Singing in front og a huge crowd at a church for a rally is nerve wracking enough for me.
Like it or not, the girls are here to stay. I think that the guys deserve a little bit of happiness in their lives. I don't object to Kevin's marriage or Brian marching down the aisle or the other three having girlfriends. I know I'm contradicting since I do object to Precious's what's-her-name is. The others I don't object much. In fact, I'm happy that they've found someone special in their lives. As for Precious's, I don't know if the rumors are true or not, but I do not like him with her. (If you're read my story, Break Away, you know how I feel about her).
Yeah, yeah, I said I don't mind but I object to his. I'm very contradicting that way. But honestly, I don't have much say. I can't stop him or any of them from dating a model or an actress or a ditz or worse. It's their choice and it's up to them. The only thing we can do is to bear it and continue to support them. A true fan doesn't dump them when they're married or engaged or dating. A true fan sticks by them.
And I'm planning to, even if Precious's taste are totally off. :))
