The year for this edition of Phil's Lyric Quiz is 1977. This was the year Vietnam-era draft evaders got a pardon from President Carter, while ex-President Nixon got to tell his side of the story to David Frost. Begin and Sadat visited each other's countries, while Voyager I and II began their visit to the rest of the solar system. The U.S. Supreme Court said no to corporal punishment, but capital punishment made a comeback. Anita Byrant battled gay rights while John Ritter played a straight man who pretended to be gay on "Three's Company." Also on TV, were the epic miniseries "Roots" and "Holocaust" while at the movies, we were offered Woody Allen in _Annie Hall_ or R2-D2 in _Star Wars_. Reggie Jackson and the New York Yankees won the World Series, while Cheryl Tiegs, CB radios, and Billy Beer were popular.
