A Different Drum - The Source For Synthpop! - If you like the synthpop (Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Erasure, New Order, etc.) you MUST check this site. Good prices, rarities, and a personal assistance to recommend you new bands in this style of music. Based on the US.
Action Records - Mail order from the UK. I guess they have the cheapest prices in new UK releases (at least the CD singles). Good attention (a bit slow replying, sometimes). They also have a Sale Catalogue with even cheaper prices! You can subscribe to their mailing list with the new releases of each week. Cheap postage rates.
CD Cellar - US Record store. Regular prices and acceptable shipping rates. I ordered only once with no problems, I can recommend it. You can access it catalogue through www.GEMM.com .
CD JAPAN - Record store based in Japan. They seem to have official (retail) prices for all the japanese releases. Regular postage really close to UK rates. They send stuff by courier too. Their catalogue includes most of the last releases of each band that has a japanese distribution.
CDZone - Huge UK catalogue!! Good prices and they have the REAL UK postage rates; nobody has cheaper postage rates. The only problem with this record store is that they are really slow, but if you want something and you are patient, YOU'LL GET IT!! When you see, in any mail order site, a message like "We don't make profit with the postage"... it's BULLSHIT! Check www.RoyalMail.co.uk to see the true :-)
Cheap or What! CDs - Another UK mail order. Great catalogue, good prices, specially albums and if you are out of the EEU, since they deduct the V.A.T (17,5%) from the price you see. They have good postage rates too.
ESPRIT International Limited - The best place for collectors who don't care about paying "unrealistic" prices for any RARE item. If you are looking for something REALLY RARE, and you don't find it here... GIVE UP the search !! The MOST expensive postage rates on the earth, and a not so good service. If you ask for info about a specific item, they just SEND IT to you without asking!! Be careful.
Mike Best CD Singles - This guy (Mike, from UK) has a very good selection of CD singles at a great price (£3.25, U$8 with shipping), and he receives new releases every week. He has a mailing list also. There's only one problem, he doesn't accept credit cards, only cash or money orders (to keep the prices low) :-(
