As Mom and Daddy and Jessy and Zac reach the far end of the Block, Daddy and Zac helped Ike and Tay with the final equipment check. Mom and Jessy staked out the front row seats. Momma showed with Zoe and Josh, Jessie, Sam, Avie, and Mackie weren't far behind. Jessy played with her favorite baby sister while saving seats for Kat and Chele. The guys were doing a sound check when Daddy was talking to Mom about the need of a Bass player, looking at the kids. "You'd think out of all these kids, we woud have made a bass player." Daddy said and Momma laughed, "You got one already made Walker, Jessy. She was in a girl version of Hanson, ChickList, her, Krystal, Venita and Melissa, the were the hottest chicks in school and at the top of every list, ChickList. Samuel." Momma said. "Sam please run to the house and bring your sister's guitar and the 10' wire at least. Walker I'm not saying anything until she isn't left a way to say no, you tell the boys and make sure she's trapped before we tell her. They're her idols and she doesn't think she's good enough. Believe me she's good enough." Momma said and Daddy went back to the stage. "Guys listen up." Dad said standing behind Zac who turned around. "Zac thank you, I've been saying for years now we need a bass player in the family. We have one and from what her mother says, she's good." Walker said. "No shit, Jessy? I've wondered, you watch her react to music, she's down pumping away to the bass passes, like they were written for her. That cinches it, now I definitely have to marry her and make her a Hanson." Zac said straining around to catch sight of her sitting there playing with Zoe. Dad explained the rest and it was decided that Zac would call her over before the show starts and her guitar arrives and hold her hands, kissing her until the rest are in place, then he will ask her. Zac turned again and Jessy caught him. When she turned back and he was still watching she asked "What?" he answered "I Love You." She smiled and told him "I love you too." Sam went out and around with the guitar and got it to the back without Jessy noticing. Kat and Chele showed and visited Ike and Tay on stage, Zac kept making sad faces at Jessy but she was afraid of losing the girls seats so she was left in front row. They made faces at each other but by the time the girls took their seats Jessy was afraid there wasn't enough time to visit but Zac kept begging. She raced around Taylor and through to Zac. "I love you so much Zac." she told him and turned to return to her seat when she saw Tay standing in her way. "Hey Tay, gotta go Zac, let my hands go. Hey Daddy. Hey Ike. Zac let me go. What? What?" she asked. "Jessy do something for me?" Zac asked. "Sure honey what?" she answered. "Play with us? Babe we really need a bass player in the family, marry me?" he asked "What marry you and play bass in the band? she repeated. "Yep so what do you say?" he asked again. "I can't just marry or just play bass, I have to do them both huh?" Jessy teased. "Zac I'd love to marry you, and I'll try the other too, but I don't guarantee anything there." she said and Daddy grabbed her guitar, "Pink?" Isaac said when he saw it. "Oh shut up, green guitar. You get the hard job, sometimes I get a little carried away and your job is to stop me, okay. I'm going to look to you for direction because I get lost in Zac's eyes and I just might jump his bones here on stage. We can't have that." she teased. They started with 'Gimme Some Lovin/Shake A Tail Feather' with a pulsing bass part that got her rocking off to a great start and the runs throughout Shake had her walking up and down the strings, smiling. Before midway through that first number, Daddy had cranked her up, so everyone could enjoy her talent. 'Where's The Love' had a beat she loved and enough bass runs to keep her interest. Same was true with 'River'. 'I Will Come To You' wasn't her favorite with its slow walks so she made her way to Zac and put her back to his and when he laid his head on her shoulder, she was in love with the song and singing along and at the end he kissed her before she headed back. 'Ever Lonely' was more her style and she was soon back rocking with an eye on Ike for the breaks and smiling after his solo, making eyes at each other. Isaac asked if everyone was ready to rock and cranked Jessy up even more and by the time her fingers flew over the strings on 'Speechless', the boys new Jessy loved this, there was no denying it, she was hamming it up with Ike. The two suddenly had a new love in common besides Kat, fingers flying on guitar strings. 'A Minute Without You' and 'Money', had a good beat. Jessy loved 'Mmmbop' and the bass runs and Man From 'Milwaukee' because Zac wrote it and it was fun. They guys finished with 'With You In Your Dreams' and 'More Than Anything' and for Jessy, 'Stories'. Jessy headed to the front row to enjoy a short Hanson concert. Sam and Avie had taken over her chair but Daddy pulled her between him and Mom both whispering how glad they were. "You should have seen Zac's eyes light up when you and Ike were playing 'Speechless', Jessy he loves you so much." Mom said. "I love him too Mom. I'm sure he was just joking, but he asked me to marry him. I said yes anyway joke or not, I love him so much." Jessy shared and Mom hugged her so tight "There's no way he was joking Jessy not about that, not about marry you. He's already asked us how to make it happen before Momma takes you away from him." Mom told her. "Mom take Zoe from Momma so I can sit there?" she asked and crawled into her Mom's lap for the first time in years. "Momma I loved it, I forgot how much. Did you see me?" she asked. "I saw you, loving it almost as much as you do Zac. I suppose you're here to ask me to let you marry him huh?" Momma asked. Tears filled Jessy's eyes, "Yeah Momma I want to leave you and be with Zac from now on, can you understand. I love him as much as I love you. But I know you love me enough to let me go and Zac can't. He needs me Momma and I need him. I've felt so alive since I've met him. I hear the birds sing in the morning before I'm awake, I see every butterfly, and I'm so at peace knowing he's beside me. He's The One!" Jessy said. "Yeah I can see that. I sure hate to let you go though, I'm afraid I'll stop hearing the birds and seeing the butterflies without you there, but that's your job as a Mom that your life grows up and doesn't need you anymore and leaves you to grow in a different direction. So go grow. I give my consent, Jessy, you can marry Zac. I already checked the attorney, your father has no say, it only takes the consent of one parent here in Okalahoma and in Michigan. So whenever, I'll be strong and let you go." Momma said her eyes filled with tears and she hugged her baby goodbye, as they listened to Ike sing 'More Than Anything'.
