Look At You

Part Twenty-Four

Tay pulled into the driveway and they made the way into his house. "Anybody home?" he yelled. "Must be next door." he said taking Chele's hand and making their way across the backyard to the pool. "Nobody, must be in the house." Chele said as Taylor slid open the patio screen. "Mom, Daddy. We're home." Chele yelled. "We in the front room baby." Ken called to her. "Hun you want something to drink?" Chele asked grabbing two bottled waters before he answered. "Yeah hun. I want a.." Taylor stopped as he noticed the two bottles in her hand. "So you know me already huh?" he asked. "Hun all fans know what you drink babe, I'm not physcic maybe physco." Chele laughed. "Oh a card carrying member of Green Jello?" Taylor teased. "And Leader in good standing of the Scream Squad." Chele laughed as they made their way to the front room. "Why the serious faces?" Taylor asked. "Your brother wants to get married." Diana said. "You knew that and you were fine with it. What's the problem now?" Taylor asked. "He wants to get married now. Well November 25th until your father opened his mouth about adding extra time to the Austrailian tour. Now he wants to get married before the tour so he can take Jessy with him." Diana shared. "Good idea, Chele baby I know you just said yes and we haven't talked about when, but marry me now and come with me. I didn't know what I was going to do about you traveling with us, you know the press would eat us alive and I couldn't do that to you but it's such a long tour. I can't bear to think of being apart." Taylor pleaded. "Taylor, yes. I couldn't bear to be apart from you either." Chele answered throwing her arms around his neck. "Wait, Kristina isn't going to be left out. Hun I know you're starting school Monday and we figured you'd skip a semester or two and come on tour with me anyway. But I agree with the press angle, they would crucify us traveling together unmarried. Kristina, marry me now before the tour." Isaac asked on bended knee. "Isaac Hanson you romantic. Of course I'll marry you now." Kristina said as Isaac rose sweeping her up in his arms. "Yes. Great. When?" Isaac asked. "When?" Taylor asked. "Don't look at me. You're lucky and don't need their permission. Uh let's see in a year and a half, I'll be eighteen and won't need their permission to live." Jessy said running from the room. "Jessy. Don't give up." Zac said chasing after her. "Jessy stop. We can't solve anything by running from it. Please for me." Zac yelled and Jessy stopped in her tracks. "Oh Zac, I'm just scared. Hold me?" Jessy asked. "Sure. Come here." Zac said opening his arms. "Zac. What will we do?" Jessy asked huggnig him tight. "Well there's always the let's get pregnant plan." Zac teased. "That's it!" Jessy said marching back into the room. "Listen up. We've come up with a surefire answer, a real crowd pleaser, at least a Zac pleaser. I've always been stubborn, you know that better than anyone. I'm telling you, I am marrying Zac one way or the other. I'd really rather wait to start a family, both of us would I think, we really haven't discussed the whens, only that we want to have lots of kids. I'm asking for your permission to marry Zac now, Momma, Daddy please. I don't want to make you grandparents just so you'll let me marry Zac but right now it's all I can think of besides what we've done, just asking please. It's what I want in my life, to be Zac's wife so I can go with him." Jessy asked, adding, "Please Mommy." as she sat at her feet and laid her head in her lap. "Oh baby I'm sorry. I know you love Zac, it's just, oh Ken what do you think. I mean she's young but you can't deny the two are meant for each other so what difference does age make?" Barbie asked, adding, "I need my head examined." "Oh Barbie, it's not crazy. You're right they are meant for each other like you were meant for me. I remember convincing you to marry me because I was meant for you, risking all the kids leaving. How soon we forget." Ken said kissing his wife, then Jessy. "Do you know how hard marriage is going to be at your age?" Ken asked. "Daddy, Zac is so good for me. I mean just now I was headed out the door, just like always but he said running won't solve our problems. I'm here trying to solve our problems Daddy." Jessy said rising to sit between her parents. "I know it's not going to be easy. I really feel sorry for Zac, don't you?" Jessy said giggling. "He has no idea. Ken maybe we ought to let him marry her now before he figures it out." Barbie laughed. "You're right. Son, her mother and I have talked it over and we agree Jessy belongs by your side, we'd be proud to have you as a son-in-law Zac." Ken said. "Oh my baby." Barbie started to cry. "Barbie you'll scare the boy off." Ken teased. "Oh yeah." Barbie said wiping her tears quickly. "Diana, Walker, what do you two say?" Ken asked. "Diana you know how I feel and you know how hard it was on the two of us to wait." Walker said leaving the decision to his wife. "Mom I love him more than anything. I swear to you I'll do my best to make him happy. I promise to always give him the chance to explain and we've already promised each other to take time for us everyday, to sit, talk, or just hold each other sharing silence. We'll make it. Look at the good examples we have." Jessy asked sitting at her side. "Jessy I have no doubts about your making him happy. You love him so much, you do remind me of myself. You just promise each other to be honest, even when the truth hurts. Yes, we'll agree to you two marrying now." Diana answered. "Oh, Mom thanks. I won't disappoint you." Jessy said hugging her. I'm sure you won't baby." Diana said. "Thanks Mom this means a lot to me, to both of us. We won't disappoint you." Zac said hugging the two most important women in his life. "So when, that's the million dollar question?" Diana asked. "Before the tour is all I care. Daddy what about the fans, how do you think they'll react?" Jessy asked. "Well I can tell you, Chele had them eating out of her hand, wishing us the best. Our best shot is to let them see how much we love each other and how right we are together and pray for the best." Taylor said. "Way to go Sis." Jessy said making her way to Chele. "Congratulations Jessy. I'm so proud of the way you handled yourself." Chele said. "Me too Sis. I can't believe how mature you handled this. Me I would have stomped and screamed a little to make my point." Kristina said. "Thank God we didn't need their permission." Isaac teased. "I'm proud of you too. Although I was really interested in that get her pregnant plan." Zac said wrapping an arm around her. "Oh Zac we're going to get married. I don't believe it. How are we going to get three weddings done before October? Zac it would be fine with me to share our Wedding day, you know a double, or triple wedding. How about you?" Jessy asked. "I don't care as long as I end up married to you." Zac said. "Well I don't like that, you don't want to marry me Zac?" Chele teased. "Or me?" Kristina asked. "Come on girls, we already went over this. I love Jessy and want to marry Jessy. I told you to go on with your lives. You'll forget about me." Zac teased. "Oh Zac, I'll try. Tay how do you feel about sharing our Wedding day. It sure would be easy on the guests." Chele asked. "Hey as long as I end up married to you, it's fine by me." Taylor answered. "Well Kristina, we going to make this a threesome?" Isaac asked. "Fine by me, but I was thinking I'd like to get married out back. Remember we talked about the gazebo." Kristina answered. "No way. Get out of here. Zac and I had talked about the same thing." Jessy answered as both couples looked at Chele and Tay. "Don't look at me I'm still on cloud nine from getting engaged. A group wedding would save on the expenses. You'd like that huh Daddy?" Chele teased. "Whatever you girls want. I just want you to be happy." Ken said as the girls rushed to hug him. "I am Daddy, thanks." Jessy said hugging him extra tight. "Boy I know who you'll walk down the aisle." Chele huffed. "Girls you all have other fathers." Ken reminded. "No I don't, he sold those rights to you." Jessy exclaimed, the explained "He couldn't wait to tell me. I'm sure hoping I'd think less of you. The fool, looked me in the eyes and said, you know that man offered me $10,000 a piece for the five of you. Shows you want kind of fool he is. You know what I said Daddy?" Jessy asked "No baby, what did you tell him?" Ken asked. "I said a fool who loves Momma so much, he would do that for her. A fool that loves me so much, that he would pay to keep me from the likes of a man who would sell his own children. You don't deserve us, I'm glad Daddy did that. You're the real fool, he probably would have paid more." Jessy said. "I told him I didn't care to ever see him again. I wrote the IRS and told them to audit him, sure hope they did The fool showed me the five checks reading adoption fees. I just told the IRS what I had seen." Jessy said as the five couples headed to the kitchen table to sort things out. It was decided the first Saturday in October, leaving a few days for a honeymoon. "Don't say it. I'm not honeymooning as a group." Jessy laughed. "It doesn't matter, You won't see the light of day." Zac said turning Jessy red as everyone laughed. "How many days did we leave?" Jessy asked acting like she was fainting from the thought. "Don't give me that." Zac said pulling her to him. "I'll give you that and a lot more if I care to." Jessy said laughing. "You better." Zac laughed back as everyone joined in.
