Look At You

Part Fifty-Nine

"Papa" Zoe squealed as they entered the house. "She up yet Grampa?" Zac asked. "Not a sound, maybe you better check on her." Grampa suggested, adding, "You are all mine, my Zoe." Zac quietly made his was up the stairs, slipping into their room and sitting on the edge of the bed watching her sleep before he decided to undress, slip back in bed so he could hold her in his arms once again. It was as if she had radar, she sensed him near without waking she found her way to him, cuddling into his arms. As she laid her head against his chest his beating heart lulled her back to sound sleep. Zac kissed the top of her head before stroking her hair. "I love you Jessy and I'm going to marry you soon." he whispered kissing the top of her head again as she stirred. "Zac. I had the most wonderful dream. You had straightened everything out with Daddy, I mean Ken. Anyway we were getting married in the folks' backyard. You and me, Sis and Tay, even Isaac and Mon, all of us got married in the folks' backyard. Can you believe it. Weird." Jessy said making fun even though she wished it true with all her heart. "You did miss me." Zac said. "When?" Jessy asked. "Earlier." he answered. 'Last I remember, you wrapped your arms around me and I fell asleep like always, in your arms, where I belong." Jessy sighed, adding, "I figure you rolled over like always and then I go searching for my arms as I start to wake." Jessy explained. "Well I went for a ride this morning and brought you back a surprise." Zac shared. "A surprise. Oh I love surprises." Jessy squealed, adding, "You mean you got up got dressed, went for a ride, came back, got undresed and crawled back in bed? Why?" "Because you're here." Zac answered, his hands caressing her body. "Oh Zac. I know someday." Jessy sighed, adding, "I think I'll call Momma and ask her if she'll sgn for me to marry. Zac? Mom and Daddy wll still sign for you won't they. What if they won't after everything I did. What if I ruined everything." Jessy began to panic more with every word she spoke. "Stop it Jessy. Do you hear me? Don't do this to yourself. You didn't do anything wrong and you didn't ruin anything. Honest Jessy. We're gettng married in six week in the backyard. That is if you still want to marry me. Jessy,I love you more than I ever thought possible. Babe, make me the happiest man alive and say you'll marry me in six weeks." Zac asked slipping from bed and kneeling on the floor beside the bed. "Of course I will. It's all I want. I love you too Zac so much that I'm not going to mention that you're proposing naked this time. I think this time is my favorite." Jessy answered kissing him sweetly, adding, "Now about this surprise. Us getting married?" "Nope." Zac said sliding back into bed. "Bigger than a bread box?" Jessy asked cuddling up to him. "Yep." he answered. "Hmm. Living or Non-Living. Hmm Non-Living?" Jessy chose to ask. "Nope." Zac answered. "Owww Living. Two legs or four. Nah you wouldn't buy me a dog until we had our own place so it's two legged and my most favorite little person?" Jessy asked excitedly. "Yep she's with Grampa. I hope he'll share." Zac answered. "That's okay, I get to play with you." Jessy teased, kissing him deeply. "Sis? Sis? You up?" Chele asked making her way up the stairs, knocking on their door. "Come in we're awake." Jessy answered. "Is it true? Are you and Zac getting married in the backyard?" Chele blurted out. "Hi Sis." Jessy said pulling the sheet up as she sat up. "Yeah hi Sis." Zac said slipping his arms around Jessy as he also sat up. "Sorry guys I couldn't believe it when Tay told me. Is it true? Are you?" Chele rambled on as she sat at the foot of the bed. "No we're just living together." Jessy teased. "Like I'd believe you'd just live with the man who won't make love to you untiil you marry him." Chele answered. "You got a good point there." Jessy laughed. "Stop teasing." Zac grumbled. "Hun I'm sorry. It's not funny Zac." Jessy replied turning in his arm, hugging him tight. "Forgive me Zac." Jessy pleaded. "It's okay Jessy." Zac whispered caressing her body. "No it's not Zac. There's no excuse for my hurting you. I know how important this is to you. I shouldn't make fun." Jessy apologized laying her head on his shoulder as she cried. "Baby don't cry. It was funny really. You and me living together. I bet I'd change my way of thinking fast. Like right now. " Zac teased kissing her playfully. "You're just saying that to spare me. Zac it's not funny." Jessy insisted as she started laughing and he joined her. "Enough already. Are you or are you not going to marry Zac in the backyard like we had planned?" Chele interrupted as Taylor finally joined them. "Hey what's so funny? Not looking to good Zac. Lying in bed naked with the love of your life and she's laughing her ass off." Taylor shared and the room roared. The four sat on the bed talking about the wedding, houses and honeymoons. "For God's sake Zac, we're going on tour with them less than a week after the wedding, can't we please take separate honeymoons?" Jessy pleaded as they seriously discussed security and the possibility of all three couples staying at the same resort. "You can't be serious?" Jessy asked as they argued over the location. "Forget it." Jessy mumbled reaching over Zac and grabbing her shirt from the floor then slipping it on. "Where are you going?" Zac asked. "On separate honeymoons. You go with Tay and I'll go who knows where as long as it isn't with the three or five of you." Jessy said sliding out of bed and making her way to the bathroom. "What? Jessy what's wrong? Babe? Tay cover Sis's eyes so I can go after her." Zac asked heading after Jessy after grabbing his boxers. "Baby let me in?" Zac asked rapping on te bathroom door. "it's open Zac." Jessy said making her way into the shower. "Jessy what's wrong?" Zac asked dropping his boxers and following her in. "Zac you didn't even hear me. I was sitting in your lap asking to take a separate vacation and you go on planning a joint honeymoon anyway. Don't I matter to you any more?" Jessy asked lathering up her hair. "How can you ask that?" Zac asked. "How can you say you didn't hear me? You hear me fine now and I was closer to you in bed?" Jessy argued. "Honest baby I didn't hear you. Jessy I feel terrible. Whatever you want babe, forgive me?" Zac pleaded. "Zac it's just... God Zac I'm so scared." Jessy gasped hugging him tightly. "Scared? Of what babe?" Zac asked fearing the possibilities. "Zac I've been after you to make love to me for so long now, it's just.. " Jessy stopped gazing at him with such question in her eyes. "Jessy don't be scared, loving each other, that's what we're meant to do, you know that. You are meant for me to love." Zac whispered holding her tenderly. "Yeah Zac, you are meant for me to love. It's just, you know, the thought of an audience at first, I don't know if I can. I mean we only have three days before we're all on tour. Zac all of us together, we'll never had any time alone. Zac I'll finally be able to make love to you and they'll all be there so we can't." Jessy choked out crying again. "Jessy don't cry, you know how I hate to see you cry. Baby what is it?" Zac pleaded to know. "I don't know." Jessy cried harder. "I promise you Jessy we will have time alone, just us. God I'm not that strong. I've waited forever to make love to you babe, you think I'm going to let touring get in the way. No way. We'll make time if I have to get a hotel room in every city. I promise you Jessy, okay?" Zac pleaded trying to comfort her. "You'd do that for me?" Jessy snifffled looking up at him, lost in his warm brown eyes. "Of course I would. Don't tell anybody but I really dig you, I can't wait to get you alone." Zac whispered after peeking out to make sure noone was listening. "You butt. Oh Zac I'm just so much trouble. Why do you love me? No don't answer that, I take it back. Just forget I said it." Jessy said looking up. "I don't want them thinking about it, they may realize their mistake and take you away from me." Jessy whispered, putting her finger to her lips, "Ssssh!" "Let them try. No way is anyone coming between us again. You hear, she's mine forever and a day." Zac insisted loudly, kissing her passionately. They finished their shower and returned to their room, finding it empty. After dressing, they made their way downstairs, after waking Isaac and Mon. Over breakfast they discussed the weddings. "We have doctor appointments this afternoon. Remember Momma made them and never cancelled them when you split. I guess she was hoping right along, Zac would find you and bring you back." Chele shared. "That's right. So we start with Mon's dress, cancelling Krissy's. Isaac then has the task of facing Kristina. Zac and I'll take the printers and you and Tay take the caterer. We forgetting anything?" Jessy asked. "Yeah let's discuss the tour and how we're going to manage making time to be alone. I mean the sound proofing in the bunks suck. You can hear Taylor snoring like he's next to you." Zac asked. "You honestly think you can make love in one of those?" Taylor asked. "If it's the only option, yeah." Zac answered. "Zachary Hanson." Jessy squealed. "Thank God. I've been worried about the same thing." Chele sighed, gazing at Taylor, "Tay we only get three days to ourselves." "Awww baby I'll figure something out. We'll be together, promise." Taylor answered wrapping her in his arms, kissing the top of her head over and over as he contemplated. "I got it, I think. Babe I gotta go check something out, do you think you can do the dress thing without me?" he asked. "Sure baby." Chele answered curious. "Need help?" Zac asked. "Count me in." Isaac added. "Why don't I take the girls and you three figure out this time alone problem." Grampa offered. "Grampa you're the best. Jessy you don't mind do you?" Zac asked. "Of course not Zac. It's important, you promised, remember?" Jessy answered caressing his face. "Yeah I remember babe, that's why I need to go." Zac explained. The girls headed out with Grampa and the guys headed out to solve the privacy problem. After explaining the change in brides and already being married, the girls accomplished the tasks of dresses and then stopping at the Mall to check on the tuxedo orders. As he neared the printers Jessy persuaded him to stop. "Just in the nick of time maam, the order is the next one up. We can change the name easily." the printer said deleting Kristina and substituting Veronica "Monica". "Man this has been a productive morning. Let's go let the folks know, the guys should be there by now" Chele suggested. They headed to the Hansons, "Mom, Daddy you home? We have so much to tell you. Our dresses will be in next week and she even cancelled Kristina's and ordered Mon's." Jessy explained leading the way, almost walking into Kristina, adding, "Hi Krissy. Ummm I take it the guys aren't here yet. Boy, this isn't easy, umm Kristina I'd like you to meet Isaac's wife, you remember I used to talk about Mon all the time." "Bitch. How dare you? What did you do, seduce him? Whore? Well as soon as he's had his fill, he'll dump your skanky ass and come back to me." Kristina screamed. "Aww Krissy. Be fair. She's my friend, has been for quite a while. You know her, she isn't a whore, she didn't seduce him and most of all Isaac loves her Krissy, like Zac loves me, like Tay loves Sis. It just wasn't that way with you and Isaac, never was and you know it.. The connection just isn't there, if it was, there would be no way he would have given Mon a second look. He loves her Krissy, not you. I'm sorry, I know this must hurt.." Jessy tried to explain but was interrupted. "This is all your fault. Damn you why'd you run to her. He was happy with me until you screwed everything up." Kristina screamed. "Oh get real. He was not happy. You wouldn't know that though, you never let him get a word in edgewise." Chele said in Jessy's defense. "Go ahead and hate me, blame me if it makes you feel better. I'll do whatever it takes to help you through this." Jessy shared, adding, "Just know he's happy now. I've never seen him so happy. He seems so at peace now." Jessy shared. "Damn you. This is your fault." Kristina screamed again. "I'm sorry. Jessy said as the tears started. "Don't cry sis. This isn't your fault honest. It's nobody's fault. You know that, it's just what's meant to be." Chele said hugging her. "You always loved her best. I hate you." Kristina screamed. "You know, you're right, I always have loved Jessy more. And you know what, I just went along with this Isaac, Mon thing becaue of Sis but you know what? Jessy's right, Isaac has never been happier, Tay told me so. He said Mon saved him from a life of unhappiness, he'd never seen Ike so happy." Chele shared. "I hate you." Kristina screamed lunging at Chele. "No you don't." Jessy screamed stepping in the way, "Thud." Kristina slammed into Jessy, sending them both tumbling to the floor. "Sis no." Chele screamed as Jessy had pushed her out of the way. Chele watched as Jessy hit the floor with such force she bounced back up only to be smashed once again by Kristing. "Aaahh." Jessy moaned as her body hit the floor again, "Uuugh." she moaned louder as Kristina came to rest upon her. "Get off her you cow. You're smashing her to death." Chele panicked, pulling Kristna's arm trying to pull her off Jessy. "What have you done?" Diana screamed. "Jessy baby." Barbie screamed. "Diana get her and the baby out of the way. Now. Dad give me a hand. Chele sweetie, let us help her." Walker inisted taking charge of the situation. They moved Kristina. "She's not breathing." Grampa said as she turned blue. "My God what happened? Jessy. Jessy. Don't leave me." Zac screamed and she gasped for air frantically. "She must have had the wind knocked out of her. Sweetie don't panic, you need to reinflate your lungs, try to breath deeply. She's going to hyperventilate at this rate." Walker said as she continued to gasp for a breath. "Jessy please, deep breath in, hold, deep breath out and relax." Zac insisted. "She's coming around. Her color is better." Grampa shared. "That should be me." Chele shared as Taylor wrapped her in his arms and she explained what had happened. "This is all my fault." Monica cried. "No you don't. All you have done is love me, the way you're meant to. Loving me was the last thing you were looking for that day baby, you know you just couldn't help it. You are meant for me. You've done nothing wrong. I could say this was my fault but I won't. I may have been the reason for her anger but Kristina, you are the one that chose to be violent. You are the one who attacked someone else because you were disappointed in the truth and the truth is I love Monica with my heart and soul. The minute I met her, I came to life. She's everything to me. I'm sorry that I led you on to believe that you were that but I was so desperate to be like Tay and Zac, madly in love with the woman of my dreams that I tried so desperately to make myself believe it, but I couldn't. When I met Mon, I knew why." Isaac explained, adding, "You knew it to, don't lie to yourself any longer. We both knew and maybe finding and marrying the girl of my dreams was a hard way to tell you we weren't meant to be, you knew it without me telling you." Kristina stood slowly looking around the room and face after face echoed Isaac's words. They knew it too, she wasn't the girl meant to love Isaac. "I hate you all." she screamed racing from the house. "Oh my, I guess I better..." Barbie started to say. "There is no way you are going after her after what she did to Jessy. Ken would never forgive me if anything happened to you and the baby. You stay here and I'll go." Walker said. "I'll go with you Dad. This is partially my fault." Isaac said heading out after him. "Man anybody get the number off the truck?" Jessy asked. "God Jessy, hurt and you're still entertaining us." Chele shared snickering. "I'm serious here. That was some big truck." Jessy moaned, adding, "Zac? I gotta go potty." "Come on baby, I'll carry you." Zac answered picking her up and carrying her. "This I like. I could get used to this." Jessy whispered caressing his face adding, "Maybe if I'm real appreciative." as she kissed him over and over. Later that afternoon Kristina was packed and on her way back to Michigan as the six made their way to their doctor appointments. Things were hectic over the next few weeks, meetings with contractors, finalizing the tour, and preparing for the wedding. Construction on the three houses began adding to the confusion and noise. Through it all Barbie remained calm and unusually quiet, as everyone around her slowly gave into the stress. "You gotta chill. Diana everything will get done somehow. Come with me." Barbie said taking her by the hand, leading her to Walker, "Come with me." Barbie insisted and soon she had the two of them in her van along with Zac. "Momma what's this about. Jessy is going to have a kitten, me disappearing like this." he insisted. "No she won't." Barbie said heading to campus, pulling in next to Ken's Jag. "Here baby, I need you to drive this home. Your folks are joining Ken and I in the country for the night. You kids just fend for yourself for a change. You tell them I said so." Barbie informed him handing him the spare keys and he was off. "Hey baby and baby. Nice surprise. Walker, Diana." Ken said making his was to the van, kissing his wife. "Take us to the country please." Barbie insisted sliding out of the driver's seat and he walked her around to the passenger side, helping her buckle up. "Great idea. I've worried about you and all the stress." Ken said. "Who? Mellow Yellow there. Nothing phases her." Walker shared "I don't care, I want to go to the country for the night. My friend needs it bad." Barbie insisted explaining how Diana had been diverting the kids and their problems from her all day, saving her from the stress. Barbie dialed the country house informing them they on their way up for the evening.
