A MiNuTe WiThOuT YoU -three-

They made it back to the studio and hit the bathrooms. the girls changing into the boxers and tee shirts the guys brought for them. Krystal headed to the projection booth to start the film. Isaac, Taylor and Chele were discussing the movie as Zac led Jessy into the theatre. "Here you go Jessy." Zac said putting his pillow in the seat by his. "Oh, okay but Zac, I was going to use you as my pillow." Jessy said looking at the pillow. "Sure Jessy." Zac said excitedly tossing the pillow aside and sitting down. Jessy retrieved the pillow putting it over the arm of their seats, lightly pushing Zac to make his seat recline and climbed into her seat on her knees leaning over the arm and resting her head on Zac's chest. "Is it okay? Can you still see?" Jessy asked. "It's perfect." Zac said kissing the top of her head and placing his arm around her, his hand resting on her butt. "Zac?" she asked. "Yeah Jessy?" he replied. "Goodnight Zac." she said. "Goodnight Jessy. Sleep tight. I sure hope I get to see you again." Zac trailed off. "Oh no, I didn't think." Jessy said curling into a ball in her seat. "If I go to sleep, I may never see you again. You'll leave without me even saying goodbye." she said her head resting on her knees, sadness on her face. Isaac, Taylor and Chele entered taking the seats by Jessy and Zac. Chele noticed the look on Jessy's face and was about to ask what was wrong when the lights went out. The beam of the flashlight signaled Krystal's arrival. The light of the start of the movie revealed Krystal sitting on Isaac's lap, lips locked, Chele on Taylor's lap, lips locked and Zac staring at both couples. Jessy rose from her seat stepped in front of Zac and lowered herself onto his lap, "Jessy" Zac said wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her to him. Pressing his lips to hers softly, kissing her over and over. As he drew back from the kiss, "Zac" Jessy whispered wrapping her arms around his neck, pulling herself to him, pressing her lips to his, harder than before arousing feelings she never knew. Her heart raced as she pulled back, searching his face in the dim light. Zac was glancing at his brothers trying to figure out what to do next. Both brothers had lowered their heads, one kissing a neck while his hands were under the shirt, the other with his head under the shirt. "Jessy" Zac said pressing his lips to hers even harder, more desperately as he slipped his hand under his tee shirt that she was wearing and went searching. "Zac Hanson" Jessy screamed as she slapped him "Smack" and made her way in the dark to the end of the row, tripping before making her way to the door. "What the hell did you do to my sister?" Chele demanded to know. "What happened?" Krystal asked. "Where's the flashlight, I have to go find her." Chele asked. "Zac man, what did you do?" Taylor whispered. "Nothing you two weren't." Zac said, adding, "Man she's strong." he said rubbing his face. "Help me find the flashlight?" Krystal asked. "I've got it." Isaac said. "Let go of my foot, fool." Chele laughed. "Nice flashlight you got here." Isaac teased. "Let go of my girl, or I'm going to have hurt you bad." Taylor said. "Let go of my sister or I'm going to have to hurt you badder." Krystal said swatting his ass. "Aaaah hurt me more." Isaac moaned. "I found it." Chele proclaimed. "Chele dear I don't have the flashlight in my lap." Taylor moaned. "Oh my, mistaken handle." Chele laughed. "Did you hear that?" Isaac whispered. "Didn't think to look there. Isaac are you hiding my flashlight in your pants." Krystal asked rubbing his thigh. Isaac moaned and Zac got up and felt his way down the row and made it to the door. "Shit, Jessy." Chele said standing. "Shit, Zac." Taylor said standing. "I found it." Isaac proclaimed. "Taylor what happened?" Chele asked. "I guess Zac looked at what we were doing and tried the same and she slapped him." Taylor said. "Oh God Taylor we have to find Zac and see if he's hurt. Jessy's tough as nails. Man she's got four brothers and can hold her own with all four at once." Chele said grabbing the flashlight and Taylor's hand. "Jessy?" he asked shocked as they made their way out of the theatre. "What were Chele and Tay doing babe?" Isaac asked. "The last time I looked he had worked his was up to copping a feel. Why?" Krystal asked. "He said Zac tried what he saw him and Chele doing and Jessy slapped him." Isaac said. "Oh God Isaac we have to see if Zac's okay. Jessy's a farm kid. Man is she strong. I wouldn't want her mad at me. Two weekends ago we were all at the farm and this neighbor kid grabbed her ass to show off and she kicked him and sent him sailing through the air. And she was barefoot. If Zac didn't ask before he touched, I hate to think." Krystal exclaimed dragging Isaac from the theatre. They met Chele coming from the men's room. "Ice need lots of Ice. She smacked him good. "Zac I'm sorry, let me help you." Taylor pleaded. "Haven't you done enough. The nicest, prettiest girl I've ever met. The first girl I've ever really cared to meet and she probably hates me. Why did I ever think you'd have the answers. You've got a lousy record. How could I be so stupid to look up to you two." Zac said angrily. "Man Zac what were you thinking? I heard Jessy tell you that you were the first real kiss she'd ever had. Why would you try and feel her up. You hardly know her." Isaac said. "Um let's see Mr. Face In Her Shirt, what was I thinking doing the same thing you two were doing. How stupid of me, you did walk in the building first so you know her so much longer than I know Jessy." Zac said. "Zac I'm sorry." Isaac said reaching for him only to be pushed away. "Leave me alone you two have ruined my life. I actually was going to have Mom and Dad come down here on the way out of town to meet Jessy. I wanted them to know why I wanted to see her again and call her. Don't think that'll happen now. There she is Dad the real pretty one who looks at me like I'm the scum of the earth." Zac said as the girls returned. "Zac I'm sorry. Please believe me. I'll help you anyway I can. I'll beg her to forgive you. Let me help." Taylor begged. "Zac here's the best I could come up with, let's get it on it's starting to swell." Chele said. "Leave me alone all of you." Zac said walking into a stall and closing the door. "Come on Zac. Don't make this worse than it is. Take this ice and get it on your face." Isaac said with no results. "Either take it and put it on your face or I'll have to call Mom and Dad and explain to get Dad down here to take care of you if you won't take care of yourself." Isaac threatened. "Who's got a cell phone? I left mine in the van." Isaac asked. "Did you hear that?" Taylor said. "Hear what?" Chele asked. "Like knocking. There that." Taylor said. "It sounds like it's coming from out front." Chele said heading out of the men's room. "Oh my God, Momma." Chele exclaimed and rushed to the doors as Taylor looked on. "Momma I'm sorry, I, we didn't mean for this to happen." Chele said. "I would hope not baby, but it has happened. Where's Zac?" Momma asked. "In the men's room ma'am." Taylor said. "Momma this is.." Chele started to say and was interrupted. "Don't go blonde on me Chele, I know who he is. Who would have thought that the first Hanson meeting would end with Jessy begging me to get her away from Hanson." Momma said shaking her head no as she entered the men's room. "Momma" Krystal gasped. "Hey baby, how are you? Momma's not to happy with you. Zac Hanson front and center please?" Momma asked. "Who are you?" Zac asked. "I'm Jessy's Momma Zac. My baby called me crying, telling me she slapped you hard and she's afraid she hurt you. Now before I can take care of my baby, I have to take care of you for her. Please come out?" Momma asked. "I can't I'm too ashamed. I can't believe I did that to Jessy. She should hate me." Zac said. "Well that's a good sign, there may be hope for you yet. Please come out Zac?" she asked again and the door slowly opened. "Oh my goodness, I'm sorry Zac. Come here?" Momma said opened arms as Zac walked to her. "Man that looks really painful Zac. You must be one tough kid to survive a Jessy attack. Maybe I ought to put a warning label on her. Don't touch without permission." Momma said apply the ice. "Owww you're hurting me and I'm laughing." Zac said. "Sorry Zac I have to laugh or I'll cry. I prefer laughing." Momma said. "Me too." Zac said. "Then we ought to get along." Momma laughed. "Momma I'm really sorry, I didn't know what to do and I looked to the wrong answer. Do you think she'll ever forgive me." Zac asked. "You're as stubborn as she is boy. It took me at least forty-five minutes to get here and you're still refusing help. Taylor my keys are in the car, take a left and drive about three miles on the left you'll see a 24 hour Rite Aid. Go in and ask the pharmacist what he would suggest. At least pick up a couple of those chemical ice bags, the little plastic rectangles filled with gel. Those will conform to the shape of his face better. He's going to need at least 12 hours of ice to get this to go away. Taylor if you need someone to go with you, please take your brother. I'm not done with my girls yet." Momma said. Chele and Krystal looked at the floor. "So this is your idea of responsible, an 18 year old and a 16 year old couple, getting it on in front of 13 year old couple. Do as I do because I'm not going to say anything. Especially something like, Jessy you're only thirteen when I was thirteen I held hands and let a boy kiss me every once in a while." Momma asked. "Momma I'm sorry I didn't think." Chele said. "Real reassuring when you and Taylor get a chance, things turn hot and heavy are you not going to think and end up, let's see, pregnant." Momma asked. "You're right Momma that's no excuse. I should have been a better example for Jessy." Chele said. "Momma don't blame Chele. I should have stopped things. I'm sorry." Krystal said. "Girls sometimes sorry just isn't enough. Look at Zac, when Jessy has to look at what she did, it's going to break her heart. Do you realize she called me at two in the morning, begging me to come bring her home, Jessy doesn't want to go to the concert, now she only wants to come home and work so she doesn't have to face what she's done." Momma said shaking her head as her cell phone rang. "Barbara here" she answered. "Momma you in town yet?" Jessy asked. "In town, in Studio, in men's room asessing the damage you've done girl. Shame on you. Keep your hands to yourself. I've said that since the minute the nurse put you and Ben in one crib to take your picture and you punched your twin brother." Momma said. "I was just so shocked he would do that Momma. He's like all the rest." Jessy said. "Well hallelujah. I've told you for years now, he's just an ordinary guy, he burps, farts, scrathes himself, put on his pants a leg at a time. He just happens to be a hunk, who sings and plays drums really well. You've made a real good impression. I'm so funny. A real good impression of three and a half fingers out of five on his face. You'll be lucky if he doesn't sue you out of a college education. It's a good thing you're coming home to work." Momma explained. "Momma does he hate me. I'm sure he must." Jessy cried. "He asked me the same thing about you. Jessy you better apologize and beg him to forgive you." Momma announced. "How can I ask him to forgive me, when I can't forgive myself." Jessy asked. "You got some major problems I'd say and you've got some soul searching to do." Momma said. "I'll start right now. Call me when it's time to go home." Jessy said hanging up. "Does she hate me? No don't tell me I couldn't handle it." Zac turned away. "She wants to know if you hate her Zac? What do I tell her?" Momma whispered. "How could I hate her?" Zac asked. "Because she hates herself right now. She can't forgive herself. Much less ask you to." Momma said. "I don't hate her honest I don't. I deserved to be slapped. I didn't know what I was doing, I'm sorry." Zac pleaded. "I wish she'd listen to you, cuz I sure would forgive you and fight to hang onto you. You're a pretty special fella." Momma said kissing his forehead. "He said this should help because of the aloe in it and I got three because he said they're really only good for four hours." Taylor explained as Momma got busy fixing Zac's face. "Oh my. I don't know Zac. It's a little better but don't you do intereviews the day before the concert, I don't know. God if the press gets hold of this Jessy will never forgive herself." Momma said dialing her cell phone. "You're going to have to sit tight, I've decided to meet Walker and Diana and try to explain what you've done. Call you when I'm back. Unless you'd like to face this now and deal with it?" Momma asked. "Momma please I can't. Oh now they'll hate me. Tell them I'm sorry. I made a bad choice to hit not talk. I'm so sorry." Jessy said. "Baby you're wasting those on me I'll love you no matter what. You need to apologize to Zac and tell him." Momma said. "Call me when I can go home." Jessy said. "Yep. Bye baby." Momma said. "Well Zac are you braver than my baby, can you face your parents?" she asked. "I will for Jessy. Man am I in trouble." Zac said looking at the floor. Momma bent down putting her face in his, "This hurts. I sure hope you look up soon. I'm an old lady." Momma laughed and Zac raised his head. "Let's go." she said and led Zac by the hand to the car and they headed to the hotel. "Mom, Dad" Zac said knocking on their door. "Zac son, what are you doing up. My God what happened? Where are your brothers and who is this?" Walker said. "Surprise." Barbara said and she introduced herself and the four sat and discussed everything. "I'm really proud of you Zac. This wasn't an easy think. I wish Jessy had your courage. Maybe you can help her learn?" Momma said. "Diana, Walker I didn't think too much of you when I walked in that studio finding your three boys with my three girls. I'm glad I came to meet you. See you at my place Sunday. We'll have a good time. Maybe she'll be strong enough then to face what she did." Barbara said adding, "If I fly low without getting caught, she can work a good fourteen hours and see how she feels about her decision to run home instead of facing what she did." "Momma tell her I don't hate her. Please." Zac begged. "She won't believe me but I'll tell her for you. You take care of that for all our sakes." Momma said hugging him goodbye and she headed down the hall. "Momma" Zac yelled and ran to her. "Thanks for not letting me hate myself." Zac said throwing his arms around her. "Oh Zac you didn't do it to hurt her or you. You just didn't know. You'll never forget this lesson I guarantee it." Momma laughed. "Ask before I touch. Ask before I touch." Zac repeated. "You're are special. Try and resolve this between you and your brothers, theY didn't do it to hurt you either. Besides I plan on scaring the bejebbers out of them when I get back. he he he." Momma laughed a nasty laugh. "Wait Barbara, I want to see. Let me throw my clothes on and come with you." Walker said. On the way over they decided on the good cop, bad cop plot, Walker pressing charges against Jessy, assualt and battery. "Let's scare the shit out of them." Barbara said. "This is fun." Walker said. "Serious faces no laughing man." Barbara broke out laughing. "Damn woman they won't believe that." he laughed. "Me, You." she roared. "That's it, I'm ready." Barbara said. "How'd you do that?" Walker laughed. "Just jabbed my thumb nail into my palm. See." Barbara shared. "I don't have thumb nails." Walker said. "Ouch" he screamed. "That'll do." Barbara said. "I'm not pulling out hairs." Walker said. "I'll be glad to help." Barbara said. "Get away. Let's go no more laughing or she'll pull out a hair." he said and they got out of the car. Barbara rushed inside red faced. "Momma what's wrong?" Chele asked. "That jerk is pressing assault and battery charges, there goes her scholarships. Thanks, I'm so glad I had the four of you to count on. I'm pissed off and going to the bathroom." Momma huffed off but stopped to listen. "I'm so disappointed in you boys. How could you let this happen to your brother? Was I mistaken all these years, I honestly thought you cared about him. What kind of person is this that would do such a thing." Walker said shaking his head. "I'll teach her. She'll never do this again." Walker said. "These her sisters? Are you two okay or did they go after you too?" Walker asked and the girls came unglued. "You do what you have to do, but I personally think you're wrong. Boy was I wrong about you, all of you." Chele glared at Taylor. "Chele you're not wrong, tell her Dad. You wouldn't do that, Jessy's a good kid. You don't know her, she didn't slap him to hurt him. She likes him alot. Zac didn't know and he didn't ask he just tried what he saw, but he didn't see it all. I didn't do anything Chele didn't agree with but Zac didn't see that is all. I'm sorry I thought you had talked to him like you did me." Taylor said. "And when did we have that talk?" Walker asked. "When I could date and Zac can't date yet, so no he didn't know." Taylor said. "That's right and it was your place to protect him from himself and you didn't. Neither one of you." Walker said the disappointment evident. "The same goes for the two of you girls. I trusted you with Jessy, I never imagined you could disappoint me like this. Think what you've done. Jessy wants nothing to do with Hanson. I can't imagine life without them, they've been like part of the family for over three years. Oh well. KrYstaL here's a letter for your father, I didn't tell the whole truth so you shouldn't get into trouble with him and Zac is doing everything he can to heal up before the press interviews so no one has to know but us, what happens when you don't think." Barbara said. "Walker if you could get the boys out of here so I can get her on the road. You two go do what you said you were going to do, sleep in the theatre." Momma said. "But Momma I want to tell her I'm sorry." Chele pleaded. "Sorry just don't get, when are you going to understand that? Please go." Barbara asked. "Fine I'll leave with no dignity, drag her out of here with all of you trying to make yourselves feel better. Dump your guilt on a thirteen year old why don't you. Jessy, I'm fed up let's go." Barbara said. "What Momma?" she asked. "I said I'm fed up let's go now." Barbara said pointing at the car. "Now" she yelled as Chele tried to talk to her. "March. Decide what you want to do or I will. I say you ought to pitch shit." Barbara yelled. "Yes Momma." Jessy said. They marched out the door, got in the car and drove away. "I've never know Momma to behave that way." Chele said. "Funny, that's what she said about the two of you." Walker said. "Let's get going boys. Where's the van?" Walker asked. "Around back, I'll bring it up." Taylor said grabbing the keys and running around the building, reappearing in the van a few minutes later. "Let's go." Walker said heading to the van. "We'll call, tonight." Isaac said before rushing around the van. Taylor stared at Chele and waved before driving off. "Momma's right, this sure isn't like any of the Hanson meetings we've ever written about. Neither one of us. Hundreds of stories and not a one ever ended so poorly. This is the pits. Sis can't hate Hanson. No way. Never." Chele said. "I don't know if I'd want to have a constant reminder of my slapping him. Every picture, poster, song." KrYstaL said. "No I won't let her give up." Chele said as they turned out the lights and headed to the theatre to sleep.
