"Stop staring at me. Isaac you are driving me crazy." Alexandra pouted trying to rise from their nap, adding, "Help me up. I'm beached, I'm beached. I told you I was a whale." The two laughed as Alexandra struggled to rise, "Baby you're funny. I don't believe you.' Isaac chuckled helping her up. "Isaac call your Mom for me?" Alexandra asked, quickly adding, "Up all the way. I got to pee again." As Alexandra raced to the bathroom, Isaac dialed the phone, "What do you want from Mom babe?" he called out to her as the phone rang. "Just the person I needed. Hang on Mom Lex asked me to call you but then ran off to the bathroom without telling me why?" Isaac explained. "Babe I got Mom what did you want?" Isaac asked entering the bathroom. "Ask her if we can hang out there for awhile before you drive me totally insane with your staring. Like a watched pot ever boils." Alexandra pouted flushing the toilet and heading to the sink. "No need to repeat son, I heard her loud and clear. You do know that she doesn't mean anything by it dear? Remember how you all drove me crazy waiting for Zoe to make her appearance?" Diana asked. "Yeah Mom I remember. I'm okay it's just I'm worried about Lex. Nothing can happen to her is all." Isaac replied. "You know you two coming out here is a good idea. You and your father, a man with much experience at handling a woman in labor can help you and I can dote all over my sweet baby girl." Diana insisted and soon the two, and her hopital bag were on the way. "Thanks for letting us come. I so want a nap and he won't let me." Alexandra pouted as she entered the house. "My poor baby. I made up the spare room sweetie. Even put a plastic protetor sheet on in case you didn't lose all your water earlier." Diana replied making her way to Alexandra and leading her down the hall. "Maybe that's it. I have peed so much today I was starting to think something was wrong." Alexandra shared. "Alot Mom. Lex maybe goes two, three times a day and she's gone like fifty times since this morning." Isaac added. "I can't help it." Alexandra said starting to cry. "Babe I didn't mean it like that honest. Please Lex don't cry." Isaac pleaded taking her in his arms. "I can't help it. I'm sorry." Alexandra cried harder. "You'll be okay sweetie. You're probably just tired and we know why you couldn't nap. Here let's get you into bed." Diana insisted as Isaac swept Alexandra off her feet and carried her into the spare room. "This is nice. Thanks hun. Thanks Mom. Mom?" Alexandra said as Isaac placed her in the midst of a huge pile of pillows. "What sweetie?" Diana replied sitting on the edge of the bed near her. "Isaac I didn't say anything to you, this is why I got so cranky when you wouldn't let me sleep, I was having this dream sort of. Are they dreams if you're not asleep yet? Anyway, Mom..." Alexandra said kissing Isaac's cheek then taking Diana's hands in hers before finishing, "Mom I was thinking and I'd really like to come here and stay a little while after the baby is born. I know it's alot to ask of someone but I'd just feel so much better knowing someone, you, where near just in case I don't know what to do. Ive never been a Mom before and mine wasn't the greatest example.. what if I..." "No ifs Lex. Babe you're going to be a great Mom." Isaac gasped taking her into his arms as the tears broke free and rolled down her cheeks. "He's right sweetie but I couldn't be happier having you here, you and your family. Alexandra I'm so touched you would even think to ask me. Of course you can stay. As long as you want. Forever. Oh my goodness this is wonderful. I can't believe this. Walker. Walker. You'll never believe this. Walker Hanson." Diana squealed. "Is the baby here?" Walker asked racing into the room. "Oh Daddy." Alexandra squealed then began giggling. "Spooked him a good one Mom." Isaac teased with a chuckle. "Oh dear I'm sorry. It's just such wonderful news I couldn't help it." Diana laughed. "So stop laughing at me and share woman." Walker said making his way to the bed, sitting near his wife and caressing Alexandra's belly, adding, "It's Grampa baby. So you're finally going to come see me?" "Yes dear, your grandbaby is finally going to come see you and move in for a little while." Diana shared. "What? Diana I told you not to push it." Walker complained. "I didn't dear. It's what Alexandra wants." Diana replied. "Honest Daddy I asked Mom if we could stay awhile." Alexandra added. "Wonderful news it is. So what do you need? It'll give us men something to occupy us with." Walker asked leaning in and kissing her cheek. "I don't know we have everything ready at home." Alexandra answered looking to Isaac. "Oh no you don't. I have made a zillion trips to the baby store, looking at everything. I'm sure I can make one more trip and bring back everything Mother has in mind." Walker teased. "Oh Walker." Diana sighed, adding, "You're right you could and you should and take that staring husband with you so my baby girl can rest." Walker and the boys headed out to pick up things for the baby as Diana got Alexandra down for a rest. Time flew much faster now that Alexandra could nap and Isaac was so occupied with putting together the crib, bouncy chair, and changing table he hardly noticed. "You be quiet. Any of you wake her and you answer to me." Diana warned. "It's okay Mom. We're up. Someone is not happy with the eviction notice." Alexandra called out. "You're still funny babe." Isaac said leading the group in complete with crib and changing table. "I thought over here dear." Diana said showing the where to put things. "It's beautiful Mom." Alexandra squealed, adding, "Isaac help me up. By the time I do it the baby will outgrow the crib." "Zachary where is that bassinette?" Diana called out as Zac appeared. "Oh Mom it's beautiful. Pale blue? Isaac I want one for our place. I never considered it. This is great." Alexandra squealed making her way to it. "Already picked one up for us when Dad showed me what Mom had picked out. Cool isn't it?" Isaac shared. "You're so good to me. You even know what I want before I do." Alexandra teased turning to him, adding, "Ohhhhh. These are sure getting...." Isaac took her hands in his, "Don't fight it babe. Relax and breath deep in, then out." he coached. When the contraction finally ended, "These are sure getting stronger." Alexandra finished. "And longer." Diana added. "Any closer together?" Walker asked. "Not yet Daddy." Alexandra answered. They family waited patiently, first putting Zoe to bed, then Mackie, "I'm sorry Lex. I'm too tired to wait for the baby anymore." Jessie yawned. "Me too." Avie added and the girls headed up to bed. "Gees baby you're outlasting them all." Diana whispered noticing Alexandra sleeping again. "How can she sleep through these?" Isaac asked laying his hand on Alexandra's contract belly as she stirred slightly in his arms. "She trusts you that much son. I'm proud of you son. When I think of the rocky start you two had." Walker whispered. "It's a wonder she didn't divorce me. Kill me." Isaac gasped watching her sleep. "She loves you. More than I ever thought possible, she loves you. Bless you sweetie for loving him." Diana whispered bending down and kissing the top of Alexandra's head then Isaac's cheek. About midnight, "Ohhhh" Alexandra moaned waking. "Relax babe." Isaac whispered stroking her hardened belly and kissing the top of her head. "Isaac I'm going to be sick. Get me up." Alexandra squealed putting a hand to her mouth. They raced down the hall, making it just in time. On the next contraction, "Mom." Alexandra squealed. "What's wrong babe?" Isaac asked wondering why she called his mother. "It's different. It's... there is so much pressure suddenly and I..." Alexandra answered starting to bend down. "What is it sweetie?" Diana asked entering the room, adding, "Alexandra don't push. Not here. Isaac get her to the hospital now. Sweetie short little breaths when you feel the pressure so you don't push." Walker called the doctor, then helped get Alexandra into the car. The two waited up for Isaac's call which came only one hour later, "Hello." Diana answered. "Hey Gramma. It's a boy. A big healthy baby boy. Lex is doing great. I'm so proud of her." Isaac shared. "Give me that phone." Alexandra squealed, adding, "Mom is it you?" "Alexandra a grandson. Bless you sweetie." Diana gasped. "He's beautiful Mom. Mom make Isaac let me come home. He's going soft on me. I want to come home. There are sick people in this place." Alexandra pleaded. "Are you sure sweetie?" Diana asked. "Yeah as long as you're there, I'll be fine." Alexandra insisted. "Put him back on sweetie. We'll be waiting up for you." Diana replied. "Your Mom wants to talk to you." Alexandra said sticking out her tongue. "I give. Don't waste your breath Mom. I'll bring them home. Mom she just stuck her tongue out at me." Isaac shared and they laughed. "I already asked when she first suggested it. We'll be home in about two hours." Isaac added. Once again time flew as they awaited their Grandson, "They're here dear." Walker called out. "Get out there and help him with Alexandra. Taylor get your shoes on." Diana ordered. "Talor Hanson wake up and put your shoes on." Chele repeated. "Baby I'm tired." Taylor moaned leaning back against her shoulder. "Tay if you don't help bring Alexandra in the house I'm not going to kiss you again for a long, long time." Chele threatened. "I'm going. I'm going." Taylor moaned heading to the door. "Your shoes. Taylor Hanson you'll wash those socks." Diana and Chele hollered in unison. "Boy do I have you trained." Diana teased wrapping an arm around her as they headed to the door watching as Walker carried in the baby, Isaac and Taylor helped Alexandra, and Jessy and Zac carried in the rest of the stuff. "Oh sweetie. How's my girl?" Diana asked as she made it in the door. "Mom I'm starved. He didn't let me eat all day." Alexandra moaned. "I know baby. I have your favorites waiting for you. You did just fine sweetie. I'm so proud of you." Diana doted leading them to the kitchen, getting her a plate. "Well mother are you ready to meet your grandson?" Walker asked following them to the kitchen. "Oh my." Diana gasped looking up at Walker holding the baby. "Here son, maybe you'd like to share with your mother." Walker suggested. "I would but Mom doesn't think I need to eat and I have to get my own plate so go ahead and do the honors." Isaac grumbled fixing a plate and taking a seat next to his wife. "He's so beautiful Mom. And such a good baby." Alexandra shared before filling her mouth again. "He sure is." Isaac agreed before filling his mouth. "Man that looks good. I did help bring Lex in." Taylor said fixing a plate. "I carried in all the junk." Zac said fixing a plate. "Me too." Jessy added fixing a plate. "Oh I didn't do anything but I'm not going to be left out." Chele squealed fixing a plate and joining the others. "Ready mother? Your grandson." Walker said slippin the baby into her arms then lifting the blanket. "Oh my God. Walker look at him. Oh my..." Diana gasped quickly taking a seat as the tears began to flow. "Mom what's wrong?" Isaac asked as she sat down. "Dear say something. Diana." Walker whispered, adding "Diana what is it?" Silence filled the room as they waited for her response. "Walker." Diana finally choked out. "What dear? Diana tell me what it is?" Walker pleaded kneeling next to her. "Don't you see it?" Diana finally whispered turning to him with tears streaming down her face. "No dear. Tell me what's wrong?" Walker pleaded. "Nothing's wrong." Diana whispered grabbing a napkin, wiping away the tears. "Nothing's wrong honest. Oh Lex, children everything is fine. It's just.. I can't beleive.." Diana quickly added when she looked up at the frightened faces around the table. "I know. Walker be a dear and get me the family album. Oh sweetie he is so beautiful. You have no idea what this mean to me." Diana said composing herself, bending and kissing the baby who couldn't be bothered with all the fuss. "Isn't it a good baby? Sleeping through all this." Alexandra asked as Walker returned the family album. "Thank you dear. Now open it to the third set of pages." Diana asked, adding. "Yes that's it. Right there. Isaac could you bring your wife here a minute?" With that Diana moved the baby next to the picture of his father in the family album. "Now do you see it dear?" Diana asked as Walker was awed by the sight, almost dropping the book. "Dad are you okay?" Isaac asked. "Daddy?" Alexandra asked as he the tears trailed down his cheeks. "I'm fine sweetie. Look yourself." Walker said opening the family album once again and placing the picture next to the baby. "Oh my God. Isaac he looks just like you did. Mom can you believe it?" Alexandra squealed. "No sweetie I'm just speechless." Diana replied tears rolling down her face again. "Let me see." Taylor insisted making his way over. "I want to see." the others echoed. "Whoa. Just let them ask who the father is now." Zac exclaimed as he looked. "I'm speechless." Isaac whispered. "No me. I knew it was yours all along." Alexandra teased. "Babe you're funny. Not." Isaac teased back. "What do you think Lex? Blow them out of the water. Let Chris release this as the baby's announcement." Walker asked pointing at the baby and the family album. "You're serious." Alexandra squealed making her way back to her plate. As they finished eating they calle Chris and got his input. By that evening every entertainment section and tv show carried the pictures of Isaac and his son. Finally they were all speechless.
