Thinking Of You

Part Six

"Morning" Isaac mumbled as he picked up the phone and looked at the clock. "I'm sorry, must have the wrong number." Jessy said. "Wait, I'm sorry. Are you trying to reach Alicia or Chele? I forgot where I was for a minute." Isaac explained. "Yeah I was calling Sis to see how Alicia was doing." Jessy answered. "Calling Sis. Oh you must be Jessy, Chele told me about you. She's not here Jessy. Actually she's sleeping at my house and I'm sleeping at hers. It may be awhile too from what Tay said. I guess she hadn't slept in over two days so she may be out for quite sometime." Isaac explained. "Tay said. Your house has a Tay in it. Oh my God she said she was going out with Ashley Greyson. Why didn't I put it together. Tay's best frend is the creep, low life, animal, pathetic excuse for a human being. I don't care if he's Tay's best friend when I get in town I'm gonna kick his ass. I'll teach him not to beat up a woman." Jessy said getting angry. "I know what you're saying Jessy. I look at her and I can't imagine anyone being able to do such a thing without getting physically ill. She must have screamed, cried, moaned in such pain that you would think it would make him stop. But not Mr. Cool to all the drunks who shunned Tay and hung with him. He was something all right. Maybe I'll kick his ass for you." Isaac shared. "No that's my job, One I'll take pleasure in doing." Jessy said with a chuckle. "Chele said you would make him sorry and I think she's right." Isaac said joining her laughter. "So how is Big Sis doing today? Has she regained conciousness?" Jessy asked. "Yeah Jessy. I think she's doing much better. She's eating and answering questions. She knows what happened so I guess she's on her way to getting better." Isaac answered. "So how'd you meet Alicia? She would have told me if she'd met you so it must have been at the party." Jessy asked. "Yeah at the party. I'm not into drinking. I don't need drugs or alcohol to get high so when it starts I usually split. I wish I'd known about the extent of Ash's drinking. I never would have left her with him. I'm so disgusted with Ash. He lied about their relationship. You know I wasn't thinking to highly of her because Ash had told us they were serious about each other and a little later I'm thinking this is more than friendly chit chat as the two of us were talking. What I thought of her and she didn't deserve it. She had told Ash she would go to the party as friends nothing romantic because she wanted to meet new people. Why'd he lie? I feel like I don't even know him anymore." Isaac explained. "I can't imagine Isaac. That's got to hurt. How's Tay handling all this?" Jessy asked. "Total shock. He can't believe it either." Isaac replied and the two chatted for quite a while until Jessy told him why she called. "I'm headed your way. I got things done early so I'm on my way. Should be there late tonight." Jessy told him before hanging up and heading west. "Your little sister is on her way." Isaac whispered as he laid back down. Alicia immediately cuddled back into his arms, grabbing his hand and wrapping it around her then holding on. "If you only knew what you were doing. If you meant to be in my arms, not just someone's arms." Isaac whispered leaning down and kissing the top of her head. "I do to know." Alicia whispered lifting their hands to her swollen lips and as she attempted to kiss his hand, "Bad idea. Bad idea. Owwww" she cried out. "I'm so sorry babe. Oh Alicia don't cry. I'm so sorry he hurt you." Isaac said soothingly. "I'll try.Isaac?" she said. "What babe?" he asked. "I want to take a shower." Alicia asked. "I don't know babe. You're still awfully weak." Isaac argued not knowing how he'd manage to accomplish it. "I'll be careful. I promise. You can even stay in the room while I shower okay." Alicia pleaded. "Man I have to learn to say no to you." Isaac sighed. "Thank you. Thank you." Alicia exclaimed and began to rise. "Where do you think you're going?" Isaac asked, adding, "I'm not done holding you." He pulled her back into his arms and sighed. "If he only knew what he was doing." Alicia whispered. "You butt. I love your sense of humor and you're sick. Can't wait til you're better." Isaac exclaimed. "Me either then I can kiss you without crying." she whispered taking his hand and squeezing it. "Yeah me too." he whispered back, adding, "Ready for that shower." Isaac carried her into the bathroom. She climbed into the shower and handed out her nightgown. "How you doing in there? Tired yet?" Isaac asked. He heard the water turn off and her hand appeared so he placed a towel in it. Alicia emerged from the shower and immediately covered her eyes and moaned. "What's wrong? Alicia talk to me, tell me what's happening?" Isaac pleaded. "It hurts my eyes." she whispered sending Isaac to the light switch turning off the lights then to the window to pull the shade. "Better babe?" Isaac asked standing next to her rubbing her back. "Better. Isaac I can open and close my eyes. I must be getting better." Alicia whispered turning to him. "Thank God." Isaac sighed, asking, "Babe did the light hurt both of your eyes?" "No just this one." she answered placing a hand over it. "That's the one Grampa was worried about. Let's get you dressed and call him." Isaac said wrapping an arm around her then lifting her. "Isaac." she squealed. "Whoa some volume. What's wrong babe?" Isaac asked. "I can feel the draft on my butt so I know it isn't covered." Alicia whispered. "Man and I'm missingit. Bummer wouldn't you say." Isaac replied walker her to her bed and sitting her down. "I didn't even sneak a peak. I'm saving that for when you feel better and want me." Isaac whispered. "Now there's a reason to get better." Alicia whispered back, adding "I do too know what I said." "How'd you know I was going to ask that." Isaac laughed. "Isaac in the dresser top left drawer are my underclothes, tops in the drawer under that and jean in the bottom." she explained. "Here you go babe. You sure you can manage this. I'd be glad to do it for you." Isaac teased. "You go call my knight in shining armor." Alicia ordered. "Why should I call myself?" Isaac teased. "You're my reason to live not my knight in shining armor." Alicia confessed. "I like the sound of that." Isaac replied sitting next to her, wrapping an arm around her. "I didn't mean to say that. I mean I shouldn't have said that. I can't believe I said that." Alicia mumbled hiding in his arms. "Which one is it? Didn't mean it or embarassed you let it slip?" Isaac asked. "Isaac I didn't mean to pressure you. You've done so much for me already how could I do this to you." Alicia sighed. "Well I like the sound of it still." Isaac replied, adding, "I'm just going to pretend you meant it." Isaac kissed the top of her head and then headed out to call his grandfather. "Mom morning. I've been trying to find Grampa. Any idea where he is?" Isaac asked dialing his house after not finding his grandfather. "Is anything wrong with Alicia? I'll get him. He spent the night we were up so late with Ashley." Diana replied. "No Mom it's nothing that bad. The swelling has gone down enough she can open and close her eyes and the light really hurts the one eye Grampa was worried about." Isaac shared. "Son try sunglasses to help block the light. Those ugly ones of yours, you know the wrap arounds that are mirrored." Diana suggested. "Hey those are cool shades." Isaac complained. "Keep telling yourself that son." Diana chuckled, adding, "They should keep the light away from her eyes until Daddy is up and about and I can send him over." "Thanks Mom that'll be great. I know he was worried about that one eye. Well I got to go and make some runny eggs and see if she can suck them through a straw." Isaac said. "Isaac Hanson don't you dare." Diana exclaimed. "Why not Mom? I made her runny mashed potatoes last night and she loved them." Isaac replied. "That poor child at your culinary mercy." Diana teased. "Well you tell me what to make then." Isaac pleaded. "I guess I would make her oatmeal. It would have to sit better then runny eggs." Diana suggested. "You're the best Mom. That's just what I'll do. Actually I remember seeing Malt O Meal in the cupboard, that should be easier to sip through a straw." Isaac shared and was soon headed to the bedroom with their breakfast. "Alicia where are you?" Isaac called out when he opened the door and noticed she wasn't on the bed. "Isaac." she squealed from the bathroom. He placed the tray on the bed and headed to the bathroom. "Now what do you think you're doing?" Isaac asked looking at her leaning against the vanity. "Trying to dry my hair but I got pooped. Man I'm a mess, can't even dry all of my hair at one time." she whispered. "Let me finish it then." Isaac said reaching for the dryer and brush. "Thanks." Alicia said hugging him and laying her head against his chest, the wet side of her head up. He dried and brushed her hair while she hugged him. "Don't fall asleep there, I made us breakfast." Isaac shared. "Our second date?" Alicia asked. "Nope we're still working on the first one. What do you expect, I did manage to get your panties off you, so of course we're having breakfast the morning after." Isaac teased. "You're a gas. Isaac?" Alicia replied. "Yeah Alicia." Isaac answered. "Can we keep this first date to ourselves?" Alicia asked. "A secret huh? I like knowing something noone else knows. Yeah we can keep this a secret." Isaac answered and they ate breakfast together before she laid down and napped.
