Where's the Love
Part 4
"She's totally driving me crazy. Taylor now she's..." Chele complained. "What is she doing that has you so upset Babe?" Taylor asked worried that this was becoming way too much for Chele to deal with. It had been almost a month since their first meeting, Jessy's worse nightmare. Gradually over the past weeks Jessy transformed from an outgoing, confident young woman to an insecure, somewhat timid young woman. Instead of being proud of the way she looked, now everything bothered her. Her hair was unmanageable. She was too fat. It had gotten so bad that Jessy gave up her job at Zat's where she was always on display for a job with a cleaning service so she didn't have to deal with people, only their dirt. "Taylor she quit Zats. I mean she was so proud of landing that job. You know everybody wants to work there and Sis walks in and nailed it. But now..." Chele tried to explain but was overcome with concern. "Why'd she quit?" Taylor asked. "Oh Taylor she's changed so. You should see what she's wearing these days. I can't believe it's her." Chele sighed. "What is she wearing?" Taylor asked confused about why Jessy had quit Zats. "The biggest, baggiest clothes she can find without them literally falling off. She hides her hair in a ball cap now. Taylor her hair was her pride and joy. She always took such care of it and wore the latest styles. But now it's pull it out of the way and cover it with a hat." Chele shared. "You're kidding right?" Taylor gasped. "No I'm serious. Tay do you think I should call her Mom and let her know what's going on? I don't want Sis to hate me but I'm worried." Chele asked. "Babe I don't know what to tell you. I know let's ask my Mom. I bet she'll know how to help." Taylor suggested. "Taylor she has seven kids of her own to worry about. Does she know you're always offering her Mom advice to just anybody?" Chele teased. "She doesn't mind. Zac's already talked to her about what happened. She's the one who suggested the flowers." Taylor shared. "What? Are you saying your Mom told Zac to send Sis flowers every day for a week?" Chele squealed. "He what? No. No Chele. Mom just suggested he send her flowers saying how she loves to get them. She said it brightens her day. Zac sent them every day for a week?" Taylor asked still shocked by the thought. "Yes Taylor he did. Jessy was so disappointed the eighth day. She sat waiting for the delivery van all day." Chele explained. "Boy that back fired then." Taylor mumbled. "Not really. I think it was getting close to 5pm and Sis goes ' I don't think he's sorry anymore but I sure am, my butt hurts from sitting on this ledge looking out the window'. Taylor she laughed so hard at herself, you know that she sat and waited all day. It's been a while since I've heard her laugh that way." Chele shared suddenly getting quiet. "Babe don't give up. I'm sure Mom can come up with something, someway to help her. Why don't I go talk to her now and if she comes up with anything, I'll come get you." Taylor suggested, adding as he heard her whimpers, "Babe don't cry. It's going to be okay. It has to be Chele. Zac is so miserable over this already, I'm afraid it will crush him to find out she's not doing well." "That's not it Tay." Chele whispered between sniffles. "Then why are you crying babe?" Taylor asked with such concern in his voice her heart melted. "It's you." Chele choked out before crying harder. "Me? What did I do babe? I'm so sorry Chele. I would never do anything to intentionally make you cry." Taylor gasped. "That's it." Chele choked out before taking a deep breath and finishing, "Taylor you care so much. Don't tell anybody but I think you're an awfully nice person and I'm so grateful I've met you." "You are?" Taylor asked in disbelief. "I are what?" Chele teased. "You're glad you met me." Taylor answered. "Who said that? Taylor you can't believe those teen mags and definitely not those tabloids." Chele teased again. "I didn't read it, you said it." Taylor insisted with a chuckle catching on that he was being teased. "What's so funny?" Chele asked. "You. I mean the fact that you like me but are too shy to say so." Taylor teased. "I like you? Man where are you reading this stuff, I like you, I'm glad I met you. Oh Taylor I would have thought you knew better by now." Chele teased back. "I do. Go ahead and joke about it. I know you like me and you know what I like you too. A lot." Taylor insisted. "That's nice Taylor." Chele replied giggling. "And what's so funny?" Taylor asked. "That you think I like you." Chele choked out as she laughed heartily. "Hey it's not funny. You do like me. You said so." Taylor insisted not thrilled with her laughing. "I did not. You're are dellusional Taylor Hanson." Chele insisted. "Am not." Taylor screamed. "Yes you are. There is no way I would have said I like you Taylor Hanson." Chele insisted. "See you said it again. Hah. I knew you liked me." Taylor teased. "That'll be the last time I say it." Chele hollered before slamming down the phone and grumbling, "Conceited fool." "Sis the phone is ringing. Sis answer the phone." Jessy grumbled coming from the other room, noticing Chele arguing with the phone and adding, "I'll get it." "Hello." Jessy answered. "Oh hi Jessy. So she won't answer the phone now huh?" Taylor asked. "Taylor?" Jessy asked to make sure before answering the question. "Yeah Jessy. I think I pissed her off." Taylor answered. "Oh really. I just thought everyone stood around yelling at the phone. So you say you pissed her off huh?" Jessy repeated looking at Chele and pointing at the phone. "No I don't want to talk to him." Chele yelled then turned and headed out of the room. "You're right Taylor, you pissed her off. And good too." Jessy shared. "Man why didn't I just shut up. I just had to have the edge." Taylor moaned. "Yep sometimes we do that. What did we do?" Jessy asked and listen while Taylor explained. "So you tried to get her to commit to something huh?" Jessy asked. "Huh? Yeah I guess I did." Taylor answered thinking it over from that prospective. "Taylor can I ask you something?" Jessy asked. "Sure Jessy you can ask me anything." Taylor answered sincerely. "Anything? Wow I could make some big bucks asking the right questions then publishing the answers." Jessy teased. "Did I say anything?" Taylor sighed then chuckled. "Taylor Hanson I want to know.." Jessy began then paused before finishing, "Do you like my sister?" "What? That's the money maker?" Taylor teased then answered, "Between me and you kiddo, I like your sister alot. She's not like anyone else I've, I've... Man what do you call what I do? It's not dating because I've never had the time to get to know someone. You know Jessy, Chele is the first person in a long time I've even cared to get to know. Sad isn't it." Taylor shared. "I wouldn't say sad Tay. Just think of it as your life has been so rich and full up until now, you haven't had the need to have someone else in your life." Jessy replied. "Whoa. Kiddo you amaze me. I know you're younger than me but you are wise beyond your years." Taylor exclaimed. "Oh you're just saying that so I put in a good word for you with my sister." Jessy teased. "That too." Taylor agreed and they laughed together. "Honest Jessy that's an awesome insight to my dilemma. I think maybe that's why I pushed her so hard into admitting she likes me. You I like kiddo." Taylor shared. "Oh stop with the suckup Taylor. I'll put in a good word. Now what do you want me to say, he's hot, great bod. How about sensitive and caring?" Jessy asked and was greeted by laughter. "What's so funny?" she asked. "Caring." Taylor said with another laugh. "What about caring?" Jessy asked totally confused. "She had just told me I was so caring and next thing I know I've pissed her off." Taylor shared. "Oh so you care about pissing her off?" Jessy teased. "Yeah I care so much I piss her off." Taylor replied. "Don't tell her I told you but she's still listening. Pretended to storm out of the room but I saw her stop short so she could listen." Jessy whispered turning her back to her sister. "So you think she's not totally pissed off?" Taylor asked. "Not totally." Jessy replied. "Hey Jessy do me a big favor?" Taylor asked . "If I can Tay." Jessy replied. "Come here for lunch. Maybe if you bring her she'll forgive me." Taylor pleaded. "What? Oh Taylor.." Jessy grumbled before answering, "I don't think so." Taylor's power of persuasion proved too much for Jessy, "I can't believe you talked me into coming out there just so you can make kissy, kissy with my Sister." Jessy fumed. "You're the best kiddo. See you two in an hour." Taylor said hanging up before she backed out. "Oh Sis." Jessy hollered loudly, before continuing, "You'll never guess what Taylor Hanson just talked me into doing."
