Jessy woke to a note on the table from Mom and Dad Hanson. "Jessy we had the greatest time. We're so glad you came into our lives. Love Mom and Dad." Jessy smiled as she looked for a clock, 6:30am. She made here way down the hall, changing into her jogging clothes and headed to the kitchen for some juice and a piece of fruit. Jessy heard Zoe's cries and headed up the stairs. "Hey baby. You up at this hour? You feel liking running? There's wheels in the garage you want to come along?" Jessy decided she'd take Zoe along, that way Mom and Dad could sleep in. She changed Zoe and wrote a note and taped it on Zoe's door. "Mom, Zoe and I are out jogging be back around 7:30 Love Jessy." They made their way to the kitchen and Jessy got Zoe, a banana and some toast to eat and cup of juice. It was about 7 when she and Zoe went to the garage and got the jogging stroller out and were waiting out front for Chele. "Hey Zoe, Hey Sis or should I say Hey Sis and Hey Sis. Wow I had such a great time last night. Tay is so fine and so mine. God I ought to write a song. Ready to run, let's hit the bricks." Chele said and the girls were off running. They matched steps and every so often Chele would sprint out front and check out Zoe to make sure she was still having fun. Chele shared her date with Jessy. They were both trying to figure out the Ash mystery when Chele said there's his car, "Jessy there he is right there, looks like he's getting ready to run. Should I invite him along?" Chele asked. "I don't want to run with a jerk." Jessy said. "Jessy give him a break, he's been Tay's best friend like forever he can't be a jerk, just had a bad day." Chele said. "You're a softie. Fine ask him to run but I'm telling you now he don't apologize, I'm getting in his face and I'll leave tread marks." Jessy warned. "Morning Ash it's me Chele, this is my sister Jessy and you know Zoe. Want to join us we got another six miles to go." Chele asked. "Sure Chele thanks for asking. About last night, I'm really sorry. I was pissed over seeing an old girl friend with a total jerk and I decided to be a total jerk to you. If Tay only forgives me like you." Ash said joining the girls. "Ash I'm sure he forgives you. He was awfully concerned, kept telling me he had never seen you act that way. If it wasn't for Tay and what he said about you, I would have turned and ran the other way to avoid the jerk you were last night but instead I asked Sis if it was okay to ask you along. I'm sure you and Tay will be fine. As long as your along I figure we've run almost two miles from Tay's, map us another six that ends us at Tay's." Chele asked. "I gotta know how did you start at Tay's place you staying with them?" Ash asked. "No Ash, Jessy, my sis works for his Mom, she helps out with the younger kids. Actually this is her first day on the job, but she sat for them last night so Mom and Dad could go out on the town. You should have seen them, they looked great. Left sis a note saying they had the greatest time. I'm dying for them to wake up and share their date." Chele told him. "You sound like you've known Tay and his family longer than I have but I know you just hit town. Tay told me about you. I was thinking I would check you out myself, but too slow again I see." Ash said. "I just really clicked with his family and Jessy did too is all. So Ash is their a girl in your life?" Chele asked. "Sort of, I've been dating this one girl for quite a while. Some of the time, I feel she only goes with me because I'm best friends with Tay. Why'd you ask?" Ash asked. "Just I have a friend I'm introducing to Ike Friday night, we're having a cookout and I was going to ask you. It's couples and I guess I needed to know if we had to find someone for you too." Chele explained. "You'd invite me after last night. Tay's a lucky man." Ash exclaimed. "Make sure you tell him. He needs reminding." Chele laughed. "My beautiful sister here has stolen the heart of young Zac Hanson. I don't think Zac knew what hit him." Chele explained. "I can see Zac falling for her, she's as pretty as her older sister. Ash said. "Oh I know I'm going to like you." Chele said. "Me too." Jessy said. "One of you sprint ahead and see what Zoe's up to, please." Jessy asked. Ash sprinted ahead and turned running backwards, playing with Zoe. "She's going to break alot of hearts in ten years. She's loving this Jessy." Ash reported and fell back with the girls. Chele checked the pedometer she wore, "Coming up on six miles, hope were about two miles from Tay's." Chele shared. "It may be almost three." Ash answered. "We can handle that." Jessy said. "Speak for yourself." Chele complained. "Getting old sis. Get a drivers license and you go soft." Jessy teased. "No offense but you girls are quite athletic. On the school track team?" Ash asked. "No way. I don't know why we started this, oh yeah Buns of Steel failures remember Jessy." Chele reminded. "Oh god that was funny. Chele here the first summer we met, is majorly obsessed with this one dude and just knew if she had buns of steel, she win his heart. So like she gets the tape two weeks before I get there and religiously is using it two times a day not just once and when I get there for my two week stay we follow the tape. Well Chele sees no difference in her butt and mine has turned fine, the only difference was that I ran every other day so she figures that what she had to do for buns of steel, run. So she's running with me the rest of my stay. Her butt got fine and she got hooked on running. You could say we're butt runners." Jessy shared. "Funny. But I thought you're sisters, what's this first summer we met stuff." Ash asked. "Ash I'm sorry, Jessy and I aren't really sisters, it's just when we met in a chat room we became best of friends and even more. We found we had sooo much in common and since we are both only girls, I have one brother, she has four, we connected and have been sisters ever since. We're so much alike now our Moms have a hard time remember who belongs to who." Chele explained. "We're like interchangable. And now we only live five or six miles from each other and we can jog that with our buns of steel." Jessy added. "Right up the street here and we're back where you started. Do you guys walk it out?" Ash asked. "Yeah or older one here gets charlie horses and you don't want to be around if that happens. She knows some bad words, potty mouth." Jessy answered. "Jessy I'm going to let that slide because you introduced me to Tay but one more crack out of you and I'm telling Zac all I know about you." Chele warned as they made it back to the Hanson house and they changd their pace to a walk. They made it down the street about a half mile, turned and walked back to the house. Jessy led them in through the garage, parking Zoe's wheels, unbuckling Zoe and headed into the house. "Well there's my running girls." Mom called from the kitchen. "We sort of picked up someone along the way." Jessy said. "Girls I really don't think you should be picking up strangers. Now that's a strange one." Mom laughed. Jessy and Zoe made it into the kitchen first, "How far did you go, Jessy?" Tay asked. "Nine and one walked. Our navigator slipped in a extra mile or two." Jessy answered. "You look like you had a great time." Jessy said kissing Dad on the cheek and handing him Zoe. "Thanks again sweetie. Love you." Dad said. "Here's a plate for Zoe, Jessy. You going to eat now too." Mom asked. "Chele bring that boy in here now before Taylor falls out of his chair." Mom said. "Coming Mom. Hey everybody. Morning Daddy can't wait to here where you went on your date. Come on in, he won't bite I promise." Chele said pulling Ash around the corner. "Ash. Where'd? Thanks Chele." Taylor said making it to them and taking Chele in his arms and kissing her without thinking. "You were right, he is nice. We had a really nice talk while we ran." Chele explained. "Tay I'm sorry man. It will never happen again." Ash said as Chele pushed Tay at him. "You look like you had a good time last night." Chele said to Mom. "What's between Tay and Ash sweetie. What happened." Mom asked. "Well Ash and I didn't get off on the right foot and it put a major strain between them. Everythings going to be okay after all." Chele explained "Mom can I talk to you privately sometime soon without everybody gawking, it's really important." Chele whispered when she hugged Mom. "Sure sweetie." Mom whispered. "Jessy, Chele do you girls want a plate." Mom asked. "No Mom, if I eat afer running I get a stomach ache. I ate before I went. I'm going to go take a shower, I start work in fifteen minutes." Jessy said. "I'll eat. Mom I sort of invited Ash. I hope it's okay?" Chele explained as Mom handed her two plates. "Come on Ash, here's your plate you can take the chair next to Tay, I'm sitting by Mom and Dad so I can here every detail." Chele said handing Ash his plate. "Ike, are you busy Friday night?" Chele asked. "Nothing definite. Why?" Ike asked. "Well this was the weekend I was having Jessy and Jen in, to see where I moved to. Well Jessy is here but Jen is still coming in, and I thought seeings Jessy and I are sort of, I just thought it would be nice if Jen wasn't a fifth wheel. No make that a seventh because I also invited Ash and his girlfriend to a cookout, I'm throwing. I'd really appreciate it if you'd come. I just don't want Jen feeling left out or uncomfortable, is all. Could you please, as a favor to me?" Chele asked. "A cookout. You a good cook?" Ike asked. "Boy, I want you to come. Now how do I answer this? I promise you and steak cooked by your brother." Chele tried. "Oh God Chele. You can't let him near fire. I'd better come to make sure he doesn't burn the place down." Ike laughed. "Thanks. I didn't know he said he could manage to burn hotdogs and drop burgers on the ground and I was a little worried." Chele said and smiled. Tay was just staring at her like last night. Chele put her hand on Mom's pointing a finger at Tay. "Is that why you wanted to talk to me." Mom asked. "He did that to me last night, freaked me out." Chele said. "I don't know how to explain it, but he's always done this. I think he was two or three the first time I freaked. Took him into all sorts of Doctors. Took them years to believe me and they still couldn't tell me why. Tay doesn't even know it happens, it's like time stops for him but not us. We've just all accepted it as part of him. Who knows maybe this is what makes him so special." Mom explained. "Special he is. Thanks for having him." Chele said hugging Mom. "Just love him and never leave him." Mom whispered. "I do and I never could" Chele whispered back. Jessy entered, hair still wet. "I see today is laundry day, I've started a load. Anything else need starting?" Jessy asked noticing Zoe's messy state. She opened the drawer and grabbed a fresh cloth and got it wet, picked up the sponge and headed her way. "What on earth happened here. I know you were minding you own business when out of nowhere comes this plate of food and smack right in the kisser and you've been trying to clean it up all by yourself. I can tell it's all over your hands. Can I help. Let's see what could I do?" Jessy said and she smile as Zoe stuck out a hand. "Oh I could wash your hand you're right. That's what I'll do." Jessy said washing her hand and the other, then her face. "Let me get you out of that mess before it jumps on you again." Jessy said unbuckling Zoe and taking off her bib and lifting her to freedom. "Run from the mess before it gets you again." Jessy said running after Zoe. In the family room she caught her and twirled her in the air. They played peek a boo who loves you, pat a cake, itsy bitsy spider, sang the Barney song to Zoe's delight. "Oh no a Barney lover." Jessy teased and she got up, got a book, sat and read to Zoe until she fell asleep. Jessy carried her upstairs and put her in her bed. She returned to clean up Zoe's tray then headed to the laundry room where she put a load in the dryer and filled the washer. When she returned she saw Mackie in the family room, "What's up Mackie?" Jessy asked. "Don't know." Mackie answered.. "Found nothing to do yet huh? Sometimes it's hard to decide." Jessy said. Mackie nodded his head. "Want to read, color, play the piano?" Jessy asked and his eyes lit up when she mentioned play the piano. "Do you play the piano?" Jessy asked. Mackie shook his head no. "How come, it's right there all alone. Want to go see." Jessy asked. She took his hand when he nodded. The stop and Jessy bends down looking underneath it. Showing him the pedals and explaining. They moved to the side and Jessy lifted the lid. She lifted Mackie and showed him the insides explaining. They moved back and Jessy showed what the pedals did. They looked at the keys and she explained. They touched and Mackies eyes got big. She sat down pulled Mackie on her lap and she taught him to play Chopsticks, helping him until she took her hands away and he played alone. "Very good try it again, for me." Jessy praised. As he became more confident Jessy started playing along, "No matter what I play you just do what you're doing." Jessy told him and she really started jamming, really grooving with a boogie woogie version, ending with Mackie's simple Chopsticks. "Bravo" Jessy applauded him. "Momma you hear me?" Mackie went running. Jessy closed the piano back up and headed to the laundry room folding clothes, sorting into a basket for Mackie, a basket for the girls, a basket for the guys, a basket for Mom and Dad. Jessy reloaded the dryer, and the washer. When she returned the kitchen was empty except for Zac who was clearing the table, "Want some help?" Jessy asked. "Sure but you don't have to." Zac said. "What if I want to?" Jessy asked. "Then do it." Zac said. "Did Chele go home?" Jessy asked . "Nope went downstairs to the game room with Tay and Ash." Zac answered. "Zac is Ike still upset?" Jessy asked. "No he calmed down last night when he realized nothing was going on except in his mind." Zac said. "You two okay about it?" Jessy asked taking him the rest of the dishes. "Why do you care if we're okay? Zac asked. "Because I care about you silly." Jessy said leaning towards him and kissing him with more and more passion until Zac moaned. "I like your kiss." Zac said as Jessy moved away from him. "I could tell Zac." Jessy said her eyes suddenly drawn to the bulge in his pants as Zac started to turn for the dishwasher. "Zac Hanson you turn around before the whole world knows you liked my kiss. Zac didn't you notice?" Jessy said stepping to his side to conceal their secret as Ike came into the room . Jessy took the dishes and Zac headed down the hall to the bathroom. "Jessy that's Zac's chore you shouldn't be helping him." Ike complained. "We were just talking and he handed them to me said he had to pee. What I should have said no this is your chore, wet yourself?" Jessy glared. "Jessy I'm sorry about last night. But it looked like." Ike tried to explain. "Do you realize, your dirty mind decided that the two of us had done more than hold hands and kissed. You know we're only 13, but you decided what you would have done if you'd had the opportunity and blamed your brother for something he never even tried. Zac was a perfect gentleman in spite of me. And you're a chauvinist blaming just Zac. If we had done what you accused him of, I would have been as responsible as him, I would have been there. Now that makes you look like a jerk to me, am I to assume you are one, just beause it looks that way?" Jessy asked as Zac took the dishes from her hands. "Chewed him a new one, down girl." Zac said. "Zac she's right I'm sorry for what I said last night. Jessy's right, I should have trusted you. I'm sorry." Isaac told him hugging him as Jessy took the dishes back before Zac dropped them. "Jessy, I'm not a jerk honest. I think youre one smart cookie. I hope you give me another chance to show you I'm usually a pretty even going guy." Ike said hugging Jessy and Zac took the dishes before she dropped them. "Ike I know you're not a jerk, just acted like one." Jessy said reaching on tiptoe to kiss his cheek. "Man that's high up there. I'd suggest you pay more attention to women down here, you're probably missing out on a lot of loving. Just think of all the kisses you missed because we're to short to reach that handsome face." Jessy explained thinking of Jen. "Jessy you're a doll. You decide you don't like Zac.You let me know." Ike said kissing her on the forehead and headed to the garage. "Jessy, that was nice what you did for Ike." Zac said. "What did I do?" Jessy asked. "You know, flirted with him." Zac said loading the dishes. "I didn't flirt with him. What are you talking about?" Jessy asked. "You know, all the kisses you missed because we're too short to reach that handsome face." Zac said. "Honey thats how I feel. Your brother is as much a hunk as you are, hadn't you ever noticed. Stop looking at him through his eyes, he thinks he's goofy looking, if he only knew how good looking he is." Jessy said. "Checking out my brothers huh? Should I worry?" Zac said taking Jessy in his arms, kissing her and Jessy kissed him back. "Does that answer your question?" Jessy asked. "I have no brothers. I'm the only man on earth." Zac teased. "Good you got my message. Loud and clear. Zac you have to work on controlling that thing." Jessy said her eyes moving downward. "Jessy it has a mind of it's own and it think it wants you." Zac said. "You better start thinking for it and let it know it's going to be a long time before it gets me. But if you can't control it, I just won't kiss you anymore, then we don't have to be embarassed all the time, like now someone's coming." Jessy said pushing Zac into a chair and pushing him up to the table. "Control it, not it control us." Jessy whispered as his Dad walked in. "So you had a good time huh?" Jessy smiled at him. "Thanks to you." he answered giving her a peck her on the cheek. "I better go to work, the dryer should be done. You know you ought to take her out again." Jessy said as she headed down the hall. "Dad can we talk?" Zac said. "Sure son." he answered sitting next to him, "What's on your mind." he finished looking at Zac. "Dad how do you, not show. Dad I keep getting excited about Jessy and she said if I don't control it instead of it controlling me she won't kiss me again." Zac blurted out, adding, "Dad I don't know how and I don't want to lose her." Zac finished hanging his head. "Oh Zac, Jessy isn't going to leave you, she likes you way too much to do that. I can see it in her eyes. Just think what she just did son. It couldn't have been easy for her to deal with your desire, much less talk to you about it. Doesn't that tell you how much she cares for you?" Dad said. "Dad I care for her too, a lot." Zac said. "I can see that Zac. I'm glad. I think the man that wins that heart is going to be one lucky fella. I pray it's you." Dad said hugging Zac. "Dad help me then, I have to control it." Zac said. "We'll son, you have to think with this head." he said putting a hand on the top of Zac's head and shaking. "You're thinking she's hot and what ever other perverted thought that came up when she kissed you. You have to think, this is Jessy and I love all of her not just her body. That should do the trick." Dad said. "That's all. It sounds so simple." Zac said. "The brain's a pretty powerful tool if you use it son. Give it a try." Dad laughed as Jessy came by carry a couple baskets of clothes. "What? What did I do?" Jessy asked. "Nothing sweetie. I guess were just admiring your beauty." Dad said. "Oh Daddy." Jessy laughed and headed up the stairs. "She reminds me of your mother, when I first met her. Maybe that's why she's stolen my heart so fast." Dad shared and they both smiled. "That's Jessy and I love all of her." Zac said and Dad joined in the chant.
