The Road Less Traveled
Robert Frost

two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
and sorry i could not travel both,
and be one traveler, long i stood
and looked down one as far as i could,
to where it bent in the undergrowth.

both that morning equally lay
in leaves no step had troden black,
yet, i'll save one for another day
but knowing how way leads on to way
i doubt that i should ever come back

and took the other as just as fair
for having perhaps the better claim,
for it was grassy, and wanted wear
yet, as for the passing there
had worn them really about the same

i shall be telling this with a sigh
somewhere ages and ages hence
two roads diverged in a wood, and i
i took the road less traveled by
and that has made all the difference
