NO RULERS NO MASTERS

The Official Inspired Homepage

Hi welcome to the Inspired homepage, yes i realize it sucks but it'll get better

Inspired is/was/might be:

We're a group of friends that plays melodic hardcore sort of along the lines of Man Afraid, Gorilla Biscuits or M-Blanket. We're playing a few shows(we hope) over the summer and hopefully we'll write a few new songs.

Lachie and I(Mark) are now in a emotional hardcore band called Asscribed with Albert Lionias(drums) and Morgan Currie(bass)and Geoff Vaillancourt, Lachie plays guitar and sings and I sing lead. We're trying to put together a split cd with Slave 2000.

Mike and Ian are playing drums and guitar, respectively, in the Unwanted Guests. Danny still plays in the Sellouts. He's also doing a zine called "Look Ma No Hands!" with Brent from the Sellouts. Should be out soon.

Are we flaky? YES. Are we honest? YES and hopefully that counts for something.

Is inspired a typical hardcore/political band?-i'd like to think we're not. We try not to have that macho testosterone fueled attitude that is prevalent in so many HC bands. We just want to come off as honest and sincere. We want to bring people closer together not push people away by stupid displays of machismo and misgogyny. If everyone makes a positive effort to examine their lives we can actually begin to make a difference and better our situation. Now go read our N.A.Q.(never asked questions)

And i'm sure noone can tell that mark "i'm so cheesy and emotional it hurts" black wrote this. No noone can har har

NEWS

We should be on a compilation cd from F.U.X. records in the near future. They're just waiting for the artwork to be finished before they release it. Our track is "to all my friends". We still have copies of our demo i think.

People We Should Thank

A big thanks to: Alfred Remo and Jaime Musgrave for sitting in front of our drum kit at various shows, Jon Hut who lent Danny his drum sticks at the May 9th show, someday they'll be returned, Scott Gillard, Daryl MacKinnon and Alfred Remo, and Doug Lionias for putting on the shows we played, all the bands that we've played with, all the people who came to the shows we played especially the ones who sat through our pseudo hardcore drivel at our last show, and the guys at F.U.X. for recording us and not breaking our kneecaps when we couldn't pay all the money on time(wait a second we still owe money!)
