When Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and solo sonster Aaron Carter were recently in Los Angeles, California filming their respective videos for"I'll Never Break Your Heart" and "Surfin' USA", BOP had time to chat with the woman who knows the boys best: their mom, Jane...

BOP: Wow! You must be a proud mom to have two musically talented sons. We already know how Nick got involved with the Backstreet Boys. But how did Aaron get into music?
Jane: He was about 6 years old when he started showing off and really singing, so I said, "Hey, do you want to sing like your brother(Nick)?" And he said, "Yeah, sure."
BOP: So Nick had a big influence on him?
Jane: Yeah, all the Backstreet Boys did. Aaron used to hang out during the guys' rehearsal and he'd get right in the middle of them. And I'd have to say, "Aaron, come on, the boys are trying to rehearse, get off the stage."
BOP: So how does Nick feel about Aaron's career?
Jane: Nick is very supportive. Nick is actually part of Aaron's management team as well (as the Backstreet Boys' manager, Donna Wright, and myself). And so he's very involved in Aaron's career. He's very protective. More so than anybody, becuase having been through it himself, he really knows what to look out for.
BOP: Aaron seems like he really idolizes Nick.
Jane: Oh, for sure!
BOP: So now that Aaron will be opening for the Backstreet Boys on tour this summer, you'll get to travel with both of your sons. That should be nice for you.
Jane: Yeah, and Nick's excited about that, too, because he really misses his little brother.
BOP: Whenever Nick and Aaron perform they seem so much older than they actually are because they are so polished and professional. When you see them on stage, at what age do you see them?
,font color="green"Jane: Oh, they're always going to be my babies, even Nick is still my baby. I saw him for the first time in a couple of months last night at the hotel because he's shooting a video in town today, and it's like, "Nicky!" And he's like, "Mommy!"
BOP: Oh, that's so sweet!
