Actually I am afraid of them. A German Shepherd bit me when I was 4 and it traumatized me for life. This is probally why Ben is my least favorite member of Soundgarden. Best advice ever: On what makes a great guitarist "Obviously it takes a littletalent and a hell of a lot of practice. Everyone has limitations, so one should work with them. It is fine to imitate, but eventually we must express our own voice. Also, listen to a lot of folks on the way up. I don't believe there are many times when I haven't learned something after watching great players and, sometimes, watching mediocre ones. To my way of thinking, there is not a great musician alive who hasn't practically slept with an instrument for years while learning. There are no short cuts! Learn the fretboard from stem to stem and practice scales for every known chord. Play for the love it. Forget about monetary success and play what touches your heart. Scariest thing you've ever done: Hmmm, probally being totally squished in the front of Memorial Stadium in a crowd full of tens of thousands of punks at the Sex Pistols show, Bumbershoot '96. What I regret doing: Not taking a picture of Matt and I together (hey I did get his autograph!). Not following through when I could have had dinner with Matt, Chris, and Ben, but it never happened so no big deal. What I wish I'd done: Going to BOTH Soundgarden shows when they came to town.
