Here are some photos of the farm house on Old Gunpowder Road in Beltsville where I lived with my friend Norman and his brother Eric for awhile in 1991-2. Amy stayed there for the last month between the time that her roommate got married and the time we all three took a summer job teaching at Cushing in Massachusetts. Norman carved the address into the old tree stump. I thought it looked kind of cool, so I took a couple of photos. The barn is nothing like what barns in the Western US look like. (Actually it was a storage shed of some kind, I guess). The last photo on the first row is of a stack of firewood. It's kind of hard to see, I guess.
