Comments:
The 3rd and final Dutch show. A bit of a letdown since I was expecting a Chicago/Boston surprise, instead it was a Anaheim regular. Basically a 1st night setlist with Pride instead of New year's day, Out of control instead of I will follow and no Desire. At least i made it into the heart so it was a very good night in that respect. I've noticed that the heart makes for a very good Bonocompass since like needles everybody turns around to see wherever The Incredible and Most Holy St.Bono puts down his Holy Feet. The rest of the band is offcourse unworthy of such close attention being but trifle mortals. Having made it twice into the heart i've also noticed that indeed the same people seem to be at the front of the heart. Stuck in a moment is opened with When I get home, a hommage to Dutch rock'n'roll artist/animal/idiot (take your pick) Herman Brood who took his own live weeks earlier by jumping of the top of a hotel roof. Bono makes a little speech about Herman defending him from criticism about Herman's escessive drugs use (I've once saw him do an interview completely stoned), saying that he was not an advertizement for drugs use since the man was clearly so unhappy that he killed himself. Wise words indeed.
