Sound Quality:
Poor audience. This show was transfered from tape to CDR
Comments:
This must be the only October show not to fit on a single CD. And that is with the
incomplete version of Tomorrow. As mentioned Tomorrow is incomplete with the taper running
out of tape during the solo. In his/her defence, October flows smoothly into Tomorrow giving
him/her no chance to change the tape. Should have used a 100 minute instead of a 90 minute tape.
Tomorrow seems to be a bit on the slow side compared to the later War tour version. As an encore
U2 play Southern man, proving Bono's statement that they started writing their own songs because
they sucked at playing covers. Here's a tip, try learning the lyrics before you go out and play.
Great stuff though, to bad about the not so good soundquality. This was the 2nd night U2 played
in The Ritz and as Bono says, their last New York show in a while. They would not return until
the War tour next year but it would be their last show in The Ritz.
