Comments:
This is one strange boot. It would appear that the first 7 tracks on CD 1 and the last 6 on CD 2 are from Oslo, while the remaining middle tracks are from Copenhagen. Since I have both shows I noticed similarities. During Zoo station Bono says, in Oslo tonight, clear giveaway where the band is and I wouldn't have noticed at first weren't it for the Sarajevo uplink were Bono says Copenhagen. So I pulled the Copenhagen show out of the racks and started comparing track for track. I knew that the McPhisto phonecalls were different. In Copenhagen McPhisto gets the horn slammed down while in Oslo he's chatting away with the Norwegian fishery minister. All songs from Numb to the prematurely ended Where the streets were from Copenhagen. You might think what the f&^%, as I did, but here's a theory. A Zoo TV show in general fit's on three tapesides of 45 minute each. This guy/girl starts taping it for a trade. Side A tape 1, he/she put's on the Oslo show. Side B tape 1 he/she makes a mistake and copies Copenhagen (busy trade maybe?), while side A tape 2 he/she tapes Oslo again. Trading partner gets tapes and transferes them to CDR. Hurrah, he/she thinks, another great U2 show on CD, on with the next one.
If anyone has the real complete Oslo show, please give me email.
