Sound Quality:
Excellent broadcast.
Comments:
This bootleg doesn't contain any hiss or tick as expected from a vinyl
source, so I am assuming that it was taken from the master tapes, but it
is possible that the last two songs were from taken the 'Under A Blood
Red Sky' video. Most of the tracks on this bootleg are on the official
video release 'Under A Blood Red Sky.' I tried compare this CD to the
'Under A Blood Red Sky' video and they both sound exactly alike. This
means that this bootleg is edited just like the 'Under A Blood Red Sky'
album was. The sound quality is almost exactly the same (although I
prefer this to 'Under A Blood Red Sky'), but this one has a richer bass
drum giving it a more "live" feel. The audience volume levels are exactly
the same without sacrificing any sound quality. Much has been said about
the COMPLETE BOSTON TAPES, and although I haven't heard that bootleg yet,
I'd have to assume this is better simply because this sounds even better
than 'Under A Blood Red Sky!' This bootleg is probably hard to find
nowadays. It is definitely worth the price, though. The best pre-
Joshua Tree bootleg out there bar-none (in my opinion). I can state that
it is the full show and it is of excellent quality, but there is one
lingering question. "I Threw A Brick Through A Window" and "A Day
Without Me" actually come before "Gloria" on the set list, but not having
the CD in front of me, I can't confirm the actual order. Can anyone else?
This can be found in a shorter edited version that is more polished on
the CD entitled SECONDS.
This is the original pressing on this label.
