Sound Quality:
Either good soundboard or excellent audience. There is some audience
talking audible in the beginning which is not very soundboard. There are
some soft pops here and there but the quality is that much better than the
other Vegas boots that it's hardly distracting
Comments:
Finally a good boot from the opening Vegas show. And at good quality.
If sound quality is what you are after, get this one. There are some
detractions though. There is some strange editing with fade outs between
certain songs. The greatest mystery is why there are two Do you feel loved
on this CD. To my knowledge it was only played once. The Lemon remix was
also edited out.
About the show. After listening to many, many popmart boots, I consider
this the most interesting Popmart show. U2 is trying to put Popmart together
and it still needs hefty rework. The lads fuck up big time in Staring at the
sun (the full electric version I might add). The crossover between Please
and Where the streets needs working over. Also they play full live versions
of If God will send his angels and If you wear that velvet dress. HMTMKMKM
starts completely differently than regular Popmarts, more Batmanlike.
A great embryonic Popmart.
