While Alyssa was in Florida putting together her first album. Laura was back in San Francisco taking care of Nick, who had been home from the hospital for a day now. Laura could tell he was in pain. She tried her best to make him comfortable. Her mom settled Nick on the pull-out bed downstairs so he wouldn't have to handle the stairs.

"How are you feeling?" Laura asked handing Nick a glass of Pepsi.

Nick slowly eased himself up on the pillow so he was in a sitting position. "Better...." He sipped the Pepsi.

"I'm sorry this had to happen..." Laura said sitting on the foot of the bed.

"Well..." Nick didn't know what to say.

"Thank you..." Laura kissed Nick on the cheek.

"For what?" Nick asked.

"For saving me from Justin..." Laura explained.

"Ahh...it was nothing!" Nick said turning away.

"No! Nick you've been there for me through the toughest times of my life! When I had the miscarriage, you were there for me....you're my hero!" Laura explained.

"Well...I like you a lot Laura! I'd do ANYTHING for you!" Nick said looking directly into her eyes.

Laura didn't know what to say to that, she just hugged Nick. The rest of the vacation went by fast, and before either of them knew it, they were packed up and on a plane back to Florida. One time the plane hit an air pocket, and Nick grimaced in pain.

"Are you okay?" Laura asked him.

"Yeah...just don't make me laugh!" Nick jokingly replied.

Laura smiled. When the plane landed, Laura and Nick made their way through the tunnel to the terminal. Brian and Alyssa were waiting at the end for them. Along with Howie, Mary Jae, A.J., Kristen, and Kevin. Mary Jae ran up to Laura and gave her a big hug. Nick just stood there. They picked up their luggage, and headed out to Brian's Jeep. They all got in, and drove out of the parking lot. The group first dropped of Nick, Laura got out and walked him to the door, Brian got Nick's luggage out.

"Least he's talking to her again!" Kristen said.

"Yeah..." Alyssa said.

Brian and Laura came back and got back in the Jeep 5 minutes later. They all decided to hang out at Alyssa's place for awhile. When they got there Laura headed to the phone to call Nick, but Nick was sleeping. So she came back and joined the others in the living room. They were watching MTV, when A.J. decided to call Total Request which was on. The others listened as A.J. requested Backstreet Boys I'll Never Break Your Heart because it was a "great song" and "it was for all the fans for being true to them." The group got the surprise of their lives when they heard A.J.'s phone request played live! Alyssa realized something.

"Hey Laura! How'd you and Nick meet? Nobody ever told me!" She asked.

"Well...I was working out in L.A. on their set for As Long As You Love Me and well...that's where we FIRST met! The next day, Brian came up to me, and told me to go outside and around the corner. I did, and there was Nick with a buquet of roses, he told me he'd had his eye on me the whole time. He asked me out, and well...we've been together ever since!" Laura explained.

"Yeah...Nick was quite shy, he would've asked you out that first day, but he was afraid of getting let down..." Howie added.

"Oh..." Alyssa said. She glanced over at Kevin who hadn't said a word. He was just sitting in the corner of the couch, staring at nothing in particular. "Kev? Are you okay?" She asked.

"What?!" Kevin looked at her. "Oh...look you guys...I'm not feeling too good...I think I'll just head home!" Kevin replied as he stood up and headed to the door.

"Yeah...I think we better get going to!" A.J. said as he stood up. "Tour starts up again bright and early tomorrow!" He took Kristen's hand in his and they headed out the door behind Kevin. Howie and Mary Jae left soon after. Laura decided to stay over at Alyssa's place that night. The next morning, Alyssa got up before anyone else. She knew the tour marked something even more important for her. Yesterday morning, Donna asked if she'd open for the Backstreet Boys on the tour. She'd said yes, of course, but now the butterflies had invaded her stomach. How would the fans react? Her single had only been out a week, and was already #5 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Charts. Brianne was the next one up, she did her morning ritual of going into Alyssa's room and jumping on the bed to wake Brian up. Brian woke up. Laura was the last person to get up and take a shower. When she was done, the four of them packed up their stuff, and headed down to where the tour bus was being loaded up. Laura greeted Nick with a careful hug and kiss, then she helped him onto the bus. Everyone claimed their bunks, and the bus pulled out, and drove off onto the highway.
