As Alyssa, Mary Jae, and Theresa paged through Bridal Magazines. Alyssa noticed two girls weren't around.

"Hey! Where's Laura and Kristen?" Alyssa asked.

"Laura's in the back with Nick in his bunk, and I'm pretty sure Kristen and A.J. are doing something similar in HIS bunk!" Howie replied grinning mischievously as he sat down at the table and put his arm around Mary Jae.

"Oh..." Alyssa said.

The gang continued on the road for a week, stopping every night in a different place to do a show and meet their fans. On Sunday afternoon they pulled up in front of the entrance to a hotel, and got out. Once they'd gotten everything arranged in their rooms, Donna Wright, called a group meeting to discuss the week's schedule.

"On Monday morning, you guys are scheduled to appear on Live With Regis and Kathie Lee, on Tuesday morning it's The Rosie O'Donnell Show, on Wednesday it's Late Night With David Letterman, on Thursday it's Saturday Night Live, and Friday it's MTV Live! Then before we leave, it's a concert at Radio City Music Hall."

"Are you giving us some free time, Donna?" Nick asked.

"OF COURSE! The night is yours!" Donna said.

The next morning, everyone got up bright and early, and headed to the studio where Regis and Kathie Lee was taped. They knew they were there when they could hear the girls screaming. The first person off the bus was their bodyguard who cleared a path to the entrance, then Johnny and Donna got off. A.J. was next with Kristen at his side, then came Howie with Mary Jae, Kevin with Theresa, Nick with Laura, and finally Brian and Alyssa. Some of the girls were frowning when they saw their fave BSB get off the bus with a girl in tow, but the excitement was still there.

Once inside, they settled into their dressing room. The guys did some a capella to warm their voices up, while the girls listened. When the theme song could be heard, they guys knew it was time to go on. Alyssa, Theresa, Lauren, Mary Jae, and Kristen followed the guys down the hall to the stage where Regis and Kathie Lee were seated. But at the entrance the girls stopped. The boys greeted Regis and Kathie Lee and sat down.

"Well... it's GREAT to see you guys again!" Kathie Lee said smiling at each of them.

"Same to you guys!" Brian said smiling at the audience and waving to a little girl in the front.

"So... this is pretty much the start of your second U.S. Tour right?" Regis asked.

"Yeah... we play Radio City Music Hall this Friday" Nick said.

Regis and Kathie Lee asked them the usual questions, how they were doing, how they were handling the fame, etc.

"Now, I know all of the girls here and outside the studio want to know,do you have girlfriends or a special someone at the moment?"

"Uh... I'm sorta seeing someone seriously right now..." Nick said.

"Me too!" A.J. admitted.

"And how about you three?" Kathie Lee asked directing the question towards Brian, Kevin, and Howie. "Rumors have been going around, that the three of you are engaged?"

"Ummm... that's correct Kathie!" Brian said. Kevin and Howie just nodded their heads.

One girl in the audience started crying, and Brian looked up in her direction. "Please don't cry, we don't want our fans to cry, be happy for us!" Brian smiled at the girl. His smile must've been a magic touch, because the girl stopped crying.

"Congratulations to all of you, and you three especially!" Kathie Lee asked, "Now before you go, I hear you're gonna sing for us?"

"That's right Kathie, we'd like to sing a song a capella for you guys!" Kevin said.

The boys sang I'll Never Break Your Heart a capella for the audience, because they let the audience choose, and that's what they wanted to hear. When they were done, they waved to the audience, and left the stage. They boarded the tour bus, and drove back to the hotel for a quick rehearsal. When they were done, they headed out to explore New York. Deciding to go their seperate ways after a group dinner.

Brian and Alyssa, skipped back to the hotel to pick up little Brianne,and then they headed back out. They had fun that night, but decided to head back to the hotel. They were gonna be there for four more days, and didn't want to do everything at once. When they got back to their rooms, they noticed a commotion of firemen in Nick's room. Nick was out in the hall leaning against the wall, his eyes were swollen from crying.

"Nick! What's wrong?" Alyssa asked running up to him.

"It's Laura.... she started bleeding, and then she passed out! I called 9-1-1, and they won't let me near her!" Nick looked so helpless to Alyssa. He REALLY wanted to be with Laura. He slid down to the floor, put his head in his hands, and started crying. Alyssa headed to the closest EMT, and asked "Excuse me? Is she alright?"

The EMT looked at her and said "We can't be sure until we get her to a hospital for a closer examination, we're just about to put her in the ambulance!"

Alyssa went back to Nick and Brian and Brianne.

"Well?" Nick asked

"They're getting ready to take her down to the ambulance...." Alyssa whispered giving Nick a hug.

"I'm going with her!" Nick said.

"Nick! We've got the Rosie Show tomorrow!" Brian said.

"Frick... Laura needs me, you guys can cover for me!" Nick said.

Brian saw how serious Nick was about going, and how much he liked Laura, so he just said "Okay, don't worry, I'll tell Donna!" He gave Nick a hug.

Just then, Laura was wheeled out into the hall. She was conscious now, but she had an I.V. in her arm and she looked very pale. Nick almost broke down at the sight of the girl he loved so much. He took Laura's hand in his, and said "Don't worry, babe, I'm gonna stay by your side!" Then he kissed her softly on the lips. The EMT just nodded at Nick,holding back tears himself, as if to show Nick that it was okay for him to go with her. Brian who was holding Brianne, who was asleep by now,and Alyssa followed the procession down the service elevator to the ambulance waiting outside. Laura was put in to the back, and Nick hopped in behind her. Before the doors were closed he gave Brian and Alyssa the thumbs-up sign. As the ambulance drove off, Kevin and Theresa walked up.

"What happened?" Kevin asked.

"Laura started bleeding badly, and fainted... they took her to the hospital..." Alyssa replied.

"Is she okay?" Theresa asked.

"I'm sure she'll be fine..."Kevin said giving Theresa a comforting hug.

The next morning, the guys did the Rosie O'Donnell Show without Nick. Their performance wasn't as good, Alyssa could tell none of them liked the idea of performing without Nick, but they did anyway. When they returned to the hotel, they were greeted by a sad-looking Donna who said "Nick called..."

"How's Laura?" Alyssa asked.

"What was the matter?" Theresa asked.

"Ummm... Laura's fine, she had a miscarriage...." Donna said, letting a few tears slide down her cheeks. "She should be out of the hospital by tomorrow...."

"Miscarriage? I didn't even know she was pregnant!" Alyssa said turning back to face the others.

"Neither did I!" Brian replied.

The rest of the day passed uneventful. Brian and Alyssa took Brianne to Central Park, Kevin and Theresa joined them. They all had fun riding the antique carousel, and eating popcorn. Then they'd think of Nick and Laura, and feel sad. They returned to the hotel, running into A.J. and Kristen. Kristen said she had something to show Alyssa and Theresa, so Brian took Brianne. Alyssa and Theresa followed Kristen into her and A.J.'s room.

"Well.. what?" Alyssa asked.

Kristen started to pull up her shirt, and then decided just to tell them.

"A.J. and I got matching tattoos!" Kristen said.

"REALLY?!" Theresa asked.

"Yeah... mine's on my left breast, it's a heart that says A.J. in the middle of it!" Kristen explained.

"What's A.J. have?" Alyssa asked.

"Well... his is a heart that says Kristen in the middle... the location is kind of private, though!" Kristen winked.

"Ooooohhhhh...." Theresa and Alyssa looked at each other, and nodded to show they understood.

The next day the boys performed on Letterman without Nick once again. As well as on Saturday Night Live the day after that. When they returned to the hotel, Nick and Laura were there. She was propped up on pillows in Nick's bed, looking a little bit better.

"Hi!" Alyssa ran over to her, and gently gave her a hug. Theresa and Mary Jae, who had just returned from a romantic dinner with Howie, did the same. Kristen sat on the foot of the bed, and asked "When were you gonna tell us you were pregnant?"

Laura looked sadly down at the blanket on the bed. "It's funny... I didn't know I was pregnant!" Laura replied.

"How could you not know?" Alyssa asked.

"Well... I had the morning sickness and all, but it wasn't really bad,I thought it was maybe just the flu!" Laura said.

Theresa noticed Laura felt uncomfortable talking about this so she said "Are you gonna come with us tomorrow to be on MTV Live?"

Laura sadly shook her head "The doctor says I have to stay off my feet for awhile... BUT, Nick will be there! He didn't want to at first, but I told him I'd be fine!" Laura said smiling at her friends. "I'll just have to watch it on t.v.!"

"We'll see about that!" Alyssa said giving Laura a mischievious grin.

Then next morning, Laura was waiting outside for the tour bus in a wheelchair. Alyssa had managed to rent one from the hotel. She knew Nick would want Laura close to him for awhile.

They arrived at the studio late, and had to go on right away. Theresa joined Kevin and the guys on the couch, she sat on his lap. Kristen sat next to A.J. and held his hand. Alyssa and Mary Jae decided to watch the show off to the side with Laura.

"Hi! I'm Carson Daily, sitting here with the Backstreet Boys, and two lovely lady friends of theirs, here on MTV Live! Welcome Backstreet Boys!" The audience of girls started screaming.

"Hey Carson!" They replied.

"First off... would you mind introducing these lovely ladies here with you? As well as those three off to the side?" Carson asked.

"Not at all!" Brian replied. "The beautiful blonde with the pretty eyes is my fiancee Alyssa!" Brian pointed to Alyssa, and blushing she waved at the camera.

"This is my fiancee Theresa..." Kevin said pointing to her, she waved at the camera.

"This is my girl Kristen" A.J. said pointing to Kristen.

Howie pointed off to the side at Mary Jae "That's my beautiful wife-to-be Mary Jae!"

On Nick's turn, he got up off the couch, and pushed Laura's wheelchair over, "This is the most beautiful girl in the world, my girlfriend, Laura!" He sat back down on the couch, took Laura's hand in his, and kissed her on the lips.

"Awwww...." Carson said smiling at Nick and Laura. "I hear Theresa has some news for Kevin?" Carson asked indicating to Theresa that it was time for her announcement.

Theresa nodded, and looking into Kevin's eyes, she said "Kev, you're gonna be a daddy in 7 months!"

Kevin first looked surprised, then happy, he didn't say anything, he just kissed Theresa and hugged her closer to him.

The show continued, and when it was over the boys headed over to Radio City Music Hall for that nights concert. Which went off perfectly. During "I'll Never Break Your Heart" Brian brought little Brianne onto the stage, knelt down in front of her, and sang to her. Alyssa would've gone up, but she was overcome by stage-fright. Nick wheeled Laura on stage and sang to her, A.J. sang to Kristen, Howie sang to Mary Jae, and Kevin sang to Theresa. When the song was over, Brian went offstage to Alyssa, and said "Come on, don't be scared... I'll be right next to you...." He kissed her and pulled her onstage. They introduced each of their girls in turn, bowed, and left the stage.

After the concert, they headed back to the hotel, and packed up their stuff. They got on the tour bus and headed to the next destination.
