Well, I've seen different variations of how the BSB came about in other sites, so I'll just tell mine. Kevin Richardson, a 20-year old native of Lexington, Kentucky, was pursuing his dream of becoming a singer. One day, he decided to move to Orlando, Florida. When, he got there he started working immediately.
One of his friends mentioned to him about three guys who were always harmonizing together, and Kevin decided to meet them. So he got together with A.J. McLean and Howie Dorough, both in high school, and Nick Carter who was attending junior high. They formed the group, and started singing a cappella.
They decided they needed a fifth member, that's when Kevin mentioned he had a cousin back in Kentucky, whom he used to sing with. Kevin was so excited, that he called his cousin Brian Littrell right away! Which happened to be while he was in class. Brian was so excited, he hopped a flight to Orlando the next day, and the fifth and final member was chosen.
