TIME WILL TELL
23-year old Alyssa Jones sat behind the cash register of the music store she worked at. She was average height and weight with blonde hair and green eyes. Alyssa lived on her own in Orlando, Florida with her 3-year old daughter Brianna, she worked the music store during the day, and went to college at night. But Alyssa soon realized that one job wasn't gonna cut it when it came to supporting her and her daughter, so she started sending out demo tapes of her singing to local recording labels.
"Stupid Jason! He's late on child support again!" Alyssa moaned to her mother on the phone.
"I warned you, I told you that boy was no good! Why couldn't you date someone like that friend of yours from high school? What was his name?"
"Brian?" Alyssa asked as she rang up a teenaged boy's purchase of a Puff Daddy C.D.
"That's the one! Oh... Brian was such a sweetheart!"
"Brian was like a brother to me mom, you know that!" Alyssa exclaimed as she started to organize the rack behind her.
"It could've happened!" Alyssa could picture her mom with that mischevious glint in her eyes.
"Listen ma, I've gotta go!"
"Alright dear, give Brianne a kiss for me!"
"I will mom, bye!" As Alyssa hung up the phone she let out a sigh of exasparation.
Just then the bell on the door jangled and in walked a short young man with strawberry blonde hair and EXTREMELY good looks. The boy looked vaguely familiar to Alyssa, and she set her mind on where she'd seen him before. Upon noticing the blue Kentucky Wildcats hat sticking out of the boys jeans pocket, Alyssa remembered.
"Oh my god! It's Brian!" Alyssa screamed out without realizing it. The young man turned around upon hearing his name, and his eyes lit up when he saw her.
"ALYSSA?! Is that you?" Brian asked. "It's me Brian!"
"Oh man... B-Rok what are you doin here?" Alyssa asked.
"Well... when I'm in the area, I stop in from time to time" Brian replied flashing his gorgeous grin.
"But... aren't you in that music group? The Backstreet Boys?" Alyssa asked stepping out from behind the counter.
"Yes... we're taking a little break from touring!" Brian answered back.
"It's really great to see you again!" Alyssa exclaimed as she gave Brian a hug.
"Same here! Say, when do you get off work? I'm in the mood for pizza!" Brian asked rubbing his stomach.
"Actually..." And as if someone knew Alyssa wanted to go with Brian,her boss came out from the storage room, and said "Alyssa why don't you take off early today?"
"SURE!" Alyssa replied, and she turned to Brian and said "I guess I'm off now!"
"GREAT!" Was all Brian could say
Alyssa grabbed her bag, and her and Brian walked out of the store together.
