After Chris, Tay, and I found our cabin and unpacted, which took forever, it was time for lunch. "Is everyone ready?" asked our cabin instructor. Everyone said 'yeah' and then we were on our way. As we were walking down the path to the cafitera I started to talk to Chris and Tay, seeing they were the only ones I knew in the group. "So what do you guys think of the girls that we've met?" I asked. "Well," said Chris. "I can't say much, I already know all of them exsept for Peace, Jessica, and Jillian. Hum, their all nice." Tay put a smile on his face. "Well," he said. "Are you sure that's all you think Peace is?" "Taylor!" I scolded. "But I saw you two practicly drooling over her," he said. The both of us denied it, yet it was true. "Yeah, sure," he said and we didn't say another thing till I thought about the girl his age, Starr. A smile now spred over my face. "Uh, Tay," I said. "Hum?" he responded. "What about Starr?" I asked. "What about her?" he asked looking confused but he was odveously faking. "Well you go around with her a lot more than anyone else in our small tro," I said and Chris was smiling too. "Yeah," said Chris about ready to burst out in laughter. "I do not," defended Tay. I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, sure," I said copping him from before. "You guys are just so mean to each other," said Chris. "Thanks," both Tay and I said at the same time. "You remind me of Starr and myself," said Chris. "If she were in a fight with Tay, oh wait, Tay would just give in because he wouldn't want her think that he hated her." Chris and I were now laughing while Taylor was giving us the evil eye. "Come on, Tay, loosen up," I urged. "Sorry," he said and we continued walking to the cafitera with the group.~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Starr's POV
The cafitera wasn't as bad as I thought, besides the point that it was noisy. Peace and I met Zac, Jessica, Jackie, Teresa, and Jillian at a table over in the coner. Peace and I already grabbed our food, not to pleasent but good enough to eat, as well as the others. "Hay guys," I said. "Hay," was their responce. "Are the guys here yet?" asked Peace. They all shook their heads a 'no'. "The instructor of their cabin is strict, he once was an Army general, but he can be as sweet as an angel to his daughter. "Who's his daughter?" asked Jessica. "Me," she answered. "Cool, but what dose he do now?" asked Zac. Peace and I sat down as she spoke, "Now he's a elementry school teacher in the Fall, Winter, and Spring, a boys cabin instructor in the Summer, and an all round dad." "I wish I had an all round dad," said Jackie. "You don't?" asked Peace. "None of us do," said Teresa. "Let's see, Emma's dad lives in Arizona, Jackie's dad lives in Seattle, Chris's and my dad lives in Georga, and Starr's dad died when she was two." "Oh, sorry," said Peace. Just then the boys arrived. "Hay," they said and we said "Hay" in response. "So how's everyones' cabin?" asked Chris. "Ok," was pretty much everyones' answer. Everyone scooted over to let them sit down. "So Peace," said Isaac. "What exactly do we do here?" "Yeah," said Chris. "Give us all the details." Despite what he said, and I needing to know, I notised Taylor putting a wide grin on his face. He notised me seeing and I guess no one else saw him make this movement, but he kind of cocked his head towards the door so we both stood up and left without a word. No one questioned where we were going. When we were out the door I asked him, "What's so funny?" "Ike and Chris," he said. "What about them, what did they do that's so funny?" I asked again. "Well on our way here we were talking and I said that they liked Peace, and, well, the first person they ended up talking to was, Peace," he said. "Wouldn't you even think that they would talk to the people they know more or their family?" I smiled then. "Well," I said. "Maybe they do want to know what we do." "Yeah right, Starr," he said. "Every exact thing that we're going to do? Why didn't they ask Jillian?" "Maybe they wanted to talk to a worker, and anyway, she's eighteen, too old for both of them," I said. "Maybe your just making this up because you like her." I really got him there, but I had no idea why I was sticking up for Peace, but it sure was fun. Tay didn't say a thing for awhile, well make that at all. "Come on Tay," I said and I put my arm around him, and he put his arm around me. "You know I was joking right?" "Yeah," he eventuly said. "Let's go back and eat before our food becomes moldy," I said. He smiled at me and we walked back in with a friendly arm around each other.
