NEWS AND GOSSIP ON THE NORTHERN IRISH MUSIC SCENE (AND BEYOND)... no updates since December 1997 would suggest we've packed up and gone somewhere else

Yes folks, after much weeping and gnashing of teeth I moved to 'orrible old London, so that's why Weedbus is no longer functioning. However, I don't intend to be in London much longer AND I've been backing up all our old archives and some new stuff at my new site Slow Thrills which is much nicer, and much bigger than this one. At the moment it'll be more North London than Northern Ireland but it should still have some damn fine stuff included in it. I thought I would write a few words here to tell people what was happening, as this page still gets a lot of hits.

If you're really keen on getting info on Northern Ireland's music scene by far the best place to go is Fastfude. This is basically a discussion board where you can chat with other people involved in the scene, publicise your own gigs, ask for help with things, whatever, really. I would advise you to spend some time there rather than bookmark this site as it is unlikely to be updated in the near future.

A couple of gigs you should endeavour to go to if you do live in Northern Ireland are coming up in the next few months. The best new band I've heard this year, namely The Strokes, are set to grace the stage of the Limelight with their presence on June 17th. Ably supported by the equally promising newcomers Moldy Peaches and the Mull Historical Society. The other essential gig is by the Beta Band, which is at the same place on June 12th. Have fun!

And make sure you visit Slow Thrills soon!
