Carrie Alden is a bright, clean cut, wholesome young girl who is smart enough to go to Yale. She is probably the glue that holds the threesome together. She's a whiz at photography and has won some awards for her photos-some of them have even been published!!! She is a student at Yale, and decides to take a summer job so she can have some money for school. She meets Sam and Emma at the au pair convention, and they decide together to go to Sunset Island, off the coast of Maine. She has glossy, brown hair, a curvy body, and a face that should be on a Noxema commercial.

Carrie is hired by the mysterious Mr. Rudolph, who says he is representing a family called Tempelton. When she finaly reaches the island, she realizes that she is working for the hottest rock star ever- Graham Perry Tempelton! There are two kids in the family-little blonde Chloe, and shy Ian. Carrie's duties with the Tempeltons include making sure that Chloe doesn't take her mother's designer clothes to play dress-up, supervising Ian's band (Lord Whitehead and the Zit People) while they're at practice. She also has to put up with Chloe's MTV habit.

Carrie's personality is practical and warm. She is the best person to turn to for advice, and the most reliable. She hates makeup, and hardly uses it, but is the envy of wild Sam for her awesome curves. Carrie's regular accessories include-silver hoop earrings, clear mascara and denim jumper. Her affectionate nickname is Marilyn Monroe, for her curves.
