It was in 1991 that their first music video was released, for Aphrodisiac Smile. In 1992, the band relocated to Vancouver, where they still currently reside.
Remaining an indie band for quite some time, though by choice, The Age of Electric released several of their albums on their own independent record label entitled God's Teeth Ethel Records. Their newest album, Make A Pest A Pet, is their major record label debut on Universal Music.
The Age of Electric were one of many bands to play Edgefest '97 this year, and, judging by their performance in Vancouver and the fans' reactions, they proved to be one of the biggest highlights of the tour.
The members of the AOE have said that they do not like to restrict themselves to the confines of one band. As a result, several side projects have come forth. Kurt and Ryan, along with friend Ian Somers, formed the successful Vancouver-based band Limblifter. Also, Todd was cast in the lead role of a film (which's exact release date we're unsure of) titled horsey. Todd also apparently penned a few songs for the soundtrack. As well as starring in horsey, Todd played a KISS fan named "Todd" in the film Suckface.
